Why did the world reject the Messiah when He Did come?

Did they not recognize Him as earlier prophesied in the Old and the New Testament an in all past scriptures?

Baha'is see that it has happened, but not as people have expected.

Maybe that humanity as a whole will now finally understand as to how a Messenger of God, is always rejected?

This is a rewording of another thread in this topic.

The vision for this thread embraces a wider audience, all of Humanity. We also have the Dates of AD1844 and AH1260 as a starting point.

When the Messenger/Avatar comes, he brings a new focus with new energy. Most people are not open to that new energy; they are engrossed in daily life.. Others defend the status quo because of the benefit they believe it gives them.

I reject him because I am not Jewish and thus he really wasn't promised to me, and because Jesus didn't fulfill all the Messianic prophecies. So there's no reason to think he is any sort of Messiah/Jewish Messiah.

How would anyone demonstrate that a person received messages from a supernatural deity?

Jesus already came. A lot of people missed it because they're Biblically and spiritually challenged. And he's coming again. According to scripture, you won't be missing that one.

If you're talking about Jesus, BINGO!

Is this a statement or a question?

.

Well I was not being direct as the other post on this topic, so yes it is the question.

I see Jesus can be seen as being the Messiah, but it takes far more spiritual interpretation seeing that, than it would seeing Baha'u'llah as the Messiah. Many more prophecies can be proven by Baha'u'llah, than can be by Jesus.

In saying that, I see Jesus the Christ is Baha'u'llah. It is the Spirit that is life, the flesh amounts to nothing.

I can see all that is valid truth. I would add that a few do embrace the new energy.

Jesus didn't really fit the OT prophecy except Matthew goes to great pains to create links between OT prophecy and the story of Jesus. From what I've read, there were a number of people claiming to be the Messiah at the time of Jesus, just as there are a number of folks making that claim today.

Generally with enough creative interpretation of past prophecies one can find a reasonable fit.

So, do you recognize/accept any of the current people claiming to be the messiah? Why or why not?

They can only do it if they are 100% trustworthy and truthful. They can only do it if they are of God.

Thus time sorts out who are the wolves in sheeps clothing. Time ahiws us where we have gone wrong.

Thus the need for a new day and a Messiah.

Thank you, it may be some have not missed the event, but it could be many have. I wish for you, that you are not one who will reject what you so long for.

That is what this thread will explore.

I agree that Jesus did not outwardly fulfil many prophecies. I see if we look at it spiritually, one can say it all unfolded.

So we can ask, who are the real kings and where are those thrones. I see God has never sent a Messenger that chose earthly rule, so who is it that still rules many hearts from those thrones?

I see we can trace many hearts in this world, back to those true Kings.

Since Jesus, I see Muhammad, the Bab and Baha'u'llah had the God given Authority of that Rule and sit on the Throne of Truth.

I see they appointed many hearts, who in turn guide each and all of us.

Christ Jesus is the Shaman of the entire Humanity.

I see your truth is that Jesus is the Messiah.

My truth is that it is Christ who is the Messiah and I see Peter confims that concept.

Matthew 16, 15-18

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Hasn't the message already been sent many times?
If the world didn't need saving, would a messenger be sent?
If the world needs saving, surely many have already rejected the message many times.
Why would they accept the message now?
