Why did the world reject the Messiah when He Did come?

Hasn't the message already been sent many times?
If the world didn't need saving, would a messenger be sent?
If the world needs saving, surely many have already rejected the message many times.
Why would they accept the message now?

Yes it has been sent in many ways in many ages.

I see decay is built into this creation, thus religion is and will always always be a cycle to be renewed.

The rejection brings about the required change, that is the organic aspect of faith. In this age we have been told that great change will happen. We have always been given a chance before the event unfolds.

The warnings have been given and as you noted have been ignored. The world today will not be the world of tomorrow. Materialistic tendency has tipped the balance and there is not turning back.

What can be said to those that do not want to hear? Nothing really.

I see your truth is that Jesus is the Messiah.

My truth is that it is Christ who is the Messiah and I see Peter confims that concept.

Matthew 16, 15-18

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

opinions don' t change anything, it had happened, it changed Earth's spirit, it is in human collective unconscious.

I agree that Jesus did not outwardly fulfil many prophecies. I see if we look at it spiritually, one can say it all unfolded.

So we can ask, who are the real kings and where are those thrones. I see God has never sent a Messenger that chose earthly rule, so who is it that still rules many hearts from those thrones?

I see we can trace many hearts in this world, back to those true Kings.

Since Jesus, I see Muhammad, the Bab and Baha'u'llah had the God given Authority of that Rule and sit on the Throne of Truth.

I see they appointed many hearts, who in turn guide each and all of us.

Do we need a Messiah to teach us to be a good person?

What I learn from the story of Jesus was humility. However I think there are many sources of wisdom including the experience of our own life.

If no Jesus, I don't know what my thoughts would be. We can't ignore the influence of the past. Whether we accept the idea of messengers for God or not.

So what happened happened. If you believe in God wouldn't you think it is all going according to plan. The rejection is all part of the plan. Believers, non-believers, other religions, if God, isn't God in control?

If you believe God is in control, what's to worry. All according to plan.

I also see the Truth in that statement.

I also see we control our own reality with our choices.

So, perhaps, the cycle of blame must end. If someone has received the message, then surely he will be a light to others.

Do we need a Messiah to teach us to be a good person?

I see we need to find Christ within to be a good person.

I see that Christ is all that is good. So to me, an athiest can portray more of what it is to be Christ like, than someone who says they beleive and follow Christ.

In the end, I see we should acknowledge the source within, as it is not us that is that good.

They can only do it if they are 100% trustworthy and truthful.

You mean the person receiving the messages has to be 100% trustworthy and truthful to receive them, or they have to be 100% trustworthy and truthful to demonstrate they've received them?

No one is 100% trustworthy. We even lie to ourselves. Even if a person has never, ever given us a reason not to trust them, we can't absolutely rule out the possibility, ever.

They can only do it if they are of God.

Well that seems like some question begging.

I agree the cycle must end.

I see the only control we have been given is as an individual, it is how we choose to react to creation that our own reality unfolds. I see we have no one else to blame but our own selves.

Did they not recognize Him as earlier prophesied in the Old and the New Testament an in all past scriptures?

Baha'is see that it has happened, but not as people have expected.

Maybe that humanity as a whole will now finally understand as to how a Messenger of God, is always rejected?

This is a rewording of another thread in this topic.

The vision for this thread embraces a wider audience, all of Humanity. We also have the Dates of AD1844 and AH1260 as a starting point.

Because at the time of his alleged arrival, probably less than 1% of the world even knew about him? He should have hired a better PR firm.

I mean Gods Messenger is 100% Trustworthy and trueful. They ask us to judge them to thise standards.

It then becomes our choice to imvetigate the claim or not to. To choose to see through their eyes, or eyes of another person.

I have found they are as claimed, they are the source of Truth.

Yet people attracted to the spirit in life were noticing the change happening. Many people in America had dreams of what was unfolding and embraced the cause when they learned of the source.

We can consider advice such as; Many are called, but few are chosen", or the first will be last and the last will be first.

We can also consider that when Christ came as Jesus, the few that accepted Him were not the religious scholars.

Jesus said the world will "mourn" at His coming.
That settles the issue.

Reject the Messiah? Nobody rejects the Messiah, why, when was He here?

The Jews have had a long history of being conquered (the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks, the Romans).
This long history of being conquered gave the Jews hope for a Messiah that would rescue them from their oppression. Because of this, the Jews didn't understand who this Messiah would be. Would he be a Military leader? or would he be more like what Isaiah described him as, a suffering servant? and if a servant, how would he liberate Israel from the Romans?

The Messiah being a conquering hero was the more popular belief, its easy to see why the Jews didn't accept someone claiming to be the Messiah if he wasn't a great military or political leader that had the power to save them.

I see that has unfolded. It takes many people quite some time to come to terms with and accept a death of a former Message.

A faith dies, but many see they have reached an apex of spirituality, strange that it always happens that way. Somuch so, that people wait 1000's of years for a Messiah and when He does come, they again reject the Message.

Yes it could very well be easy to see..But then we can ask has the same thing happened to Christians and Muslims? Did AD1844, or AH1260 actually bring the dawn of all the prophecy fulfilled?

I beleive it to be so, many do not. It is somewhat clear to me and not at all clear to many.

Such has been the history of faith.

Then it could be you have indeed rejected the event.

Maybe you have not, but from what I see, I think you have.
