its not like you guys can actually find out more about your "belief" and i dont think that atheism and agnosticism is even catagorised as a religion.

I'll tell you what I've told everyone else who has asked.

I came here first because another forum I went to had people making fun of this site. A few members of my other forum had joined it and were immediately banned for being trolls. So I joined to, assuming that the moderators would all be crazy religious people and would ban me for not believing in god, and I thought it would be fun to be immediately banned. I then found out that about 94% of the people on this site are rather nice though and respected me even though I don't agree with all of them, so I stayed, because I like them. :D

That, and if there were no atheists here... you would all sit around and make fun of us all day... We've got to be here to make sure you don't do that. ;)

I find religion interesting and I like to discuss it. Why would a Christian come to a forum with Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Luciferians, etc, etc, etc? Why not just go to an all Christian forum?

i came to find out about other peoples views on religion and politics, the world, and to debate and enquire, and its been great and would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, no one has ever asked that question before!

But seriously, even if people don't believe, religion still impacts our culture, society and politics, so it's still a relevant part of our lives. It's a fascinating subject that's fun to discuss and debate.
Also, to make the kind of people who would ask that question miserable.

Religious beliefs inform the views of millions of people. As a person interested in how people think, I think that it is important for me to attempt to examine how religion influences behaviour.

So, there's nothing about finding more about "my beliefs" but finding out more about yours.

Some like to discuss religion, others like to debate, others find it fascinating to learn about, I guess.

Who knows, maybe even some become members of a religion of some kind. ;)

How would you categorize Buddhism? There is no God in Buddhism, but it is certainly a religion in my book, anyway.

Nanda brought up an interesting question..

Why would you as a Christian join a forum which is also about Satanism, Islam Hinduism, Buddhism, and Paganism?
this forum is about religious Education, not about religious conversion, people here get the chance to converse to people from a variety of faiths (or lack thereof) and get to know what they think and believe.

Do you have to be a medieval European to talk about medieval Europe? ;)

Personally, I like having my beliefs challegned. Sitting around just agreeing with other people would be mind-numbingly boring to me.

Exactly. I like challenges, ultimately we all gain knowledge from being here.

I guess you make a great Road Engineer, life is boring without challenges isn't it :D:D
