Personally, I like my explanation better. We can still be a subset of average-height Christians......

Personally, I prove my Buddhist practice every day - I can see the differences between when I practice and when I don't. The practice works as long as I actually do it - when I don't do so, it doesn't. Pretty simple, really.
Because believing in other people's religions would be silly. Why do you believe in your Religion?
Everything. And that's not even a frivilous response. I don't belong to a religious organization, but with my religious outlook anything is possible.Could you please explain what you believe about your Religion?
That's okay. You go your way, and I'll meet you at the other end. What happens if I do not believe in the way you do?
OK, I'll restate:Well you are right, but that is not your belief, that is your experience. A belief is something you don´t trust, but you have experienced Buddhism practice, therefore you trust, not believe.
A belief would be: "My goal is to attain enlightment", that is a belief, because you haven´t experienced enlightment.
Why do you believe in your Religion? Could you please explain what you believe about your Religion? What happens if I do not believe in the way you do? Thank you for your help and answers.
I'm a Baha'i.
I was an atheist for many years, and undertook a study of religions with a view of figuring out why so much of humanity might be so deluded, and instead I saw the commonalities and connections between them. That's how I ran across the writings of
Baha'u'llah.
Heck, I could write a book on the details of why I believed he was what he claimed to be. Is there anything specific or some particular angle you're looking for, so I could maybe give you a better answer?

I am a Buddhist. I don't believe my religion, I practice it. No belief required.
Is not believing in anything a belief??
I believe, therefore I am? I don't believe, therefore I don't exists? Isn't existentialism a believe too?
People believe in what they believe, simply because they have been totally indoctrinated, since birth, into a whole 'cultural' / 'religious' ideology which they call society. Just as a Christian will cling to the NT, a Jew to the OT, and a Muslim to the Quran, it is merely a matter of indoctrination from childhood.:cover:
Personally, I have no religion, i.e. "BELIEF system". Beliefs / religions are totally futile. What we need is KNOWLEDGE, i.e. genuine Gnosis.
Peace & Love
Please share what a Nihilist believes in. I'm not sure if I understand your religion.Do you have to be an Existentialist to be a Nihilist?

Is not believing in anything a belief??
