Can you give me the passage that your speaking of? Before I answer I'd like to read it.

fair enough, but it would be helpful if you underlined this notion by using italics or quotation marks or something to let us know you what you mean...

"then the rational thinking about the unrational notions lead to questionable thinking"

so your rationale about your beliefs is subjective because it's your personal interpretation. how about when the apostle paul degrades women, for example? would the believer take what he says at face value or question why he would make such statements? and then come to the conclusion that he is speaking from a time that condoned such things and shouldn't be applied for today...like most reasonable people have decided.

sure...

1 corinthians 11
2 I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. 3 But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man,[a] and the head of Christ is God.... 7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

I see it as them head of woman is as glorious as her man. And the head of man is as glourious as god. So a woman should help to glorify her man as man glorifies god. It tells me to work together not put her down

it tells me the woman is a subordinate to man because she is to glorify him
no where does it say that they are equally working together no where does it say man is to glorify the woman.
woman was made for man not man made for women
"For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;neither was man created for woman, but woman for man."

it's pretty apparent. why not at least acknowledge the male chauvinism. it's is reasonable to accuse paul of being prejudice...look at the way women are being treated in the middle east today, they are 2nd class citizens.

I'd like to explain my thoughts in a math equation. In math "is" means equal. So If

Man=Christ and Woman=Man and Christ=God as the Passage states Correct?

Then wouldn't it stand to reason then,
Man=God and Woman=Christ and Woman=God as well?

It does say woman were created for man as the bible has always stated. But I don't see where it says they aren't equal to Man. It only says we are equal. I'm I missing something?

genesis 3:16
....Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you

i'm sorry. i cannot relate nor will i attempt to relate to your reasoning.
it's as plain as day. if you cannot see it then, that's that...

If that's your conclusion that is ok no reason beating a dead horse. I don't expect you to accept my belief. But, if you don't mind me asking what is your take on what a womans role is in today's society?
