Why does no one admit chocolate is bad?

Or indeed cats.

I am thankful none of my cats seem to desire chocolate.

When I was a little girl, I obtained a very obese cat. I loved this cat, probably more than anything else in the world. I did not understand what a cat should and shouldn't eat, and being as she was my cat, the only cat I was used to, didn't properly grasp that my feline was the size of a Mack truck.

She didn't like the shells on the M&Ms, so I'd unshell them for her.

The cat probably ate a lot of things cats shouldn't eat. She was well over 20 lbs. We were never certain of her exact age, but roughly estimating between how long we had her, and when her former owner died, she had to have been, at the youngest, 20.

(I'm not advocating feeding your pets chocolate. Just sharing a memory.)

Why hate white chocolate specifcally? Is it because of the milky bar kid? I get why on earth would u give someone who is clearly five weaponry?

In reality, there's no such thing as "white chocolate". The only cacao ingredient in it is cacao butter, which (in europe at least) must constitute at least 20% before it can be labeled as "white chocolate".

But there are no cacao solids in there.

Chocolate (dark) is good for you.
Coffee & wine....not so much.
Good or bad? Top cardiologist gives verdict on chocolate, coffee and wine

This stuff changes all the time...

I think it just comes down to moderation, and most of us know enough to eat a varied diet(even if we don't want to).

Kale is good for you. The answer is not to eat nothing but kale.

Refined sugar is bad for you. Obsessively avoiding it probably won't make you any healthier than those who occasionally indulge.

Come on everyone we all know it's bad, I mean it tastes like suger.....just sugar.

It is the most pointless think in the food world. I just feel like there is one big conspiracy that makes people want it.

So I'm going to give u an opportunity to write the truth down below. It's all anonymous anyway and it will be the first step to your recovery.
Depends on what kind of chocolate. I like dark chocolate, which has many health benefits.

It should not just taste of sugar. I speak as a person from a country which has the best chocolate selection on Earth. The UK of course. I've tried US chocolate, and no offence, it's all terrible, you might have a huge military but you guys couldn't make a decent chocolate bar if your continued existence depended on it. Chocolate may not be the healthiest food. However it's a valuable commodity to producers in developing countries and it's only detrimental to health when consumed in large quantities. A great survival ration too. Compact full of fats and sugars.

Agreed.

What has always puzzled me is why people refer to refined sugar as being bad for you. So far as I know, there is nothing in raw or unrefined sugar that makes it any less bad for you. It seems to me the bad actor is sugar itself, i.e. sucrose, in whatever form, when too much is consumed.

Because it is easier to fool ourselves if it is "natural".

Japan has the best chocolate. Their tendency towards precision as a culture just makes it better.

I read only studies that show chocolate is good for me.
