Why does the believer in God's existence have the burden of proof?

We're talking about the definition of agnosticism, not atheism, weren't you reading my comments.

An agnostic by definition lacks a belief in BOTH God and the non existence of God. Hence they can not be atheist.
See definition provided above. You are dead wrong. Atheism only requires a lack of belief, not a belief that God does not exist. Agnosticism is noted as a possible synonym.

You keep on claiming incorrectly that a lack of belief in the existence of God is not sufficient to be Co sidereal an atheist. You are wrong and I showed you by citing the definition of atheism.

Ok. Where does it say that agnostics can't be atheists? And, most atheists only lack a belief. They don't make positive claims. Some very notable atheists actually make this point. Only strong atheists actively believe that God cannot exist.

Also, didn't skeptical thinker just say this. He does not hold a belief in God, but he makes no claims about actively believing that God can't exist.

Because agnostics don't claim disbelief in God (atheists do), pure and simple; is that too hard for you to understand??

They dont need to. That is why I provided the definition for atheism. Only a lack of belief is required. No more. Why is that so hard for you to understand??? Not a difficult concept.

Disbelief is a lack of belief. It is not an active belief that something does not exist. See how it says "lack of faith"?

We are talking about the definition of agnosticism, and you don't understand it so you keep switching the conversation to atheism, something who's definition you seem to understand, Agnostics by definition have neither an established belief in God, or an established belief that there is no God, that's what an agnostic is. Perhaps you should do a little reading on agnosticism before you comment any further.

This last part "Show me any atheist who claims they have no disbelief in God, they don't exist." You are using two negatives which usually makes a positive. What I read is "Show me any atheist who claims they have belief in God, they don't exist.

So your probably right, such a person doesn't exist.

It appears that you have a reading comprehension problem. Again, agnostics lack the belief that God exists. This is all that is required for atheism. I agree with your definition of agnosticism. They aren't mutually exclusive. That is clear by the dictionary listing agnosticism as a possible synonym for atheism.

That's exactly what I meant, an agnostic on the other hand has no disbelief in the existence of God (skepticism yes), and atheist does.

Since disbelief is defined as a lack of faith in God, an agnostic does hold that disbelief. Further you are ignoring the fact that an active belief that God does not exist is not required for atheism. Only a lack of belief is. Why do you keep ignoring this?

Atheism does not require the belief that God does not exist. Simply being without a belief in the existence of God is sufficient. That is my entire argument. And I provided the definition that supports this.
