Well, let's see. What does the media commonly focus on?

It focuses on politics and most of those in politics are men.

It focuses on business and most of those in business are men.

It focuses on crime and most of those in crime are men.

It focuses on sports and most of those in sports are men.
Doesn't seem much of a mystery to me.

those are good points, i suppose. but i still think people in general would rather see women. i know straight men love it. but who really wants to look at men? it's not like women have strip joints all over solely for the sake of looking at men, like men have strip joints for women all over and things related to that.
it's not to say women are gay or bi, but people like to look at beautiful things, like art work, and appreciate it.
i think it's safe to say that women look better than men, generally. :beach:

Men are naturally more important than women.
But women become their own kind of important (lesser) when they serve men.

Yeah, then define "kind." Is it a species or some other hoked up notion of animal group? You creationists are always bandying that word about like anal discomfort on a wet Wednesday afternoon's visit to the Museum of Freewill and Fish Baiting.

Oh, am I so transparent!?
Women achieve a kind of "important", when they service men with sex, sammiches & sanitation.
Of course, they're not as important as men (who wage war, commerce & learning), but women
are desired by & useful to men, & that is of value.

like i said before. people prefer to see women. that's why there are more women in the modeling world than men. display advertising in publications show women way more than men.
but on tv it's not the case. even if you admire men more for how they contribute to the world, i still don't see why you'd wanna see them based on that.

on the other hand this thread isn't about bashing women if you have personal resentments towards them for whatever reason.

No bashing. I'm not as important as the men you see in the media either.
It doesn't bother me at all.

don't you know that male dominance and superiority on earth was since the creation and this existence . why would you ask this question which has nothing to hide , this question answers itself and if you don't want men to be on TV that's your problem . don`t feel offended in this comment i just want to use a little of common sense to reply your imaginary, unreal way of exposing things which are totally just OK and need no questions . the world today ask more questions to destroy anything and change it and even complain of it , guys want to marry , others want to get naked on the streets and have right for doing that others want to educate some homosexuality at public schools and you want to ask TV to avoid male and instead women dominance for more excitement because you want everything to be hot and sexy .

I have not found this to be the case unless I am watching the sports section of the news.

Same 'ere, almost every advert I see has an attractive woman on it, usually to try and help it sell I guess. Funnily enough, this tends to be the case even with products specifically aimed at Men i.e sports car with a woman.

But hey, as I'm sure you'll agree - women are better looking. :p

maybe it depends on what stations you are watching, but i doubt that because every station i visit is always like what i described.
unless you are going by one case and point. or perhaps you were watching a chick flick on tv, that might make a difference.
i certainly don't see women getting a lone shot just as much as men, or for as long.

Could differ according to where you live maybe? Over here women and men seem to get equal air time and equal say on tv.

PS - I am not sure if you meant it this way, but please do not assume that because I am a chick I watch chick flicks.

what show do you watch? or have seen. even movies, because ones i seen are like that. and even though people come from different areas, the same shows and movies are probably seen, eve if not in the same order. unless you don't live in the u.s. maybe.

oh yeah, and please don't assume i assume you watch chick flicks because you are a chick.

I live in australia. I watch tv occassionally but it usually the news and stuff like that. I used to watch a lot of sitcoms and that on tv.

I watch the occassional chick flick, not a huge fan though. Not into super mushy stuff lol.
