Why I'd argue meat-eating in and of itself isn't immoral

Go on then divert us for a moment and describe. Are you not a warrior in the occult like Don Juan? Do you have a ritual sword of Michael to wield aloft and smite? Maybe a banishing ritual? (evicting the aged tenants). Is there no Crusader or Tempar Knight in there? Or are you a bit timid like me and the other rabbits?

Have you read an Carlos Casteneda? The type of warrior described is not one who attacks and subjugates. The only conquest is of the self. No crusading going on here!
Are you familiar with Tantra? The Western Hermetic traditions are, at core, very similar to Tantra in the way that they work. It is simply a different cultural approach to the same goal.
Do you really know what a banishing ritual is for? Or what the sword actually symbolizes in ritual? It doesn't sound like it from what you say in this post!

Well I am not doing bad if you have them all which appears to be the case. The late eiddon edwards called me abou hannes which means father john, is an ibis bird in Sudan. My name is john as was my father's. As much as there is one :)>} I tend to think I am a Don Juan and yes I read a bit of castaneda, and have a ull set my brother gave me when he wanted to hide them from his kids and we have fallen out over Don Juan seriously several times. He is not telling the truth and his last few years prove that. Unfortunately Crowley failed to mentikon that his banishing ritual evicts those elementals and spirits that have been with you like nannies since you were a baby as if they were succubi. Lets hope they found somewhere else to stay but they wont have liked that any more than mine do as I write this. The League of Hermes I know all about. He was also an ibis bird. Nostradamus mentions it. the western traditions have nothing to do with Hermes all to do with Crowley et al. Tantra yes very nice that you Goddess Kali for rubbing your naked body against me I feel lightheaded after that. The goal is not the same. I just want us all to have a good time while we put things right with our natural world. That is far from the angelic goal unless they changed sides last night. Jacksnyte you always get me thinking. like hunting is ok if you are going to eat the rabbit. I then think what on earth will we do with the predators? Do they lie down in the straw with the lambs and desist from their unnecessary (now) predations. Or do they machine gun the protesting rabbits and make a big stew? Change sides that is the answer. Play for us.

Being an omnivore means that you need to eat BOTH meat and veggies - not that you get to choose between the two.

It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes. A vegetarian diet is defined as one that does not include meat (including fowl) or seafood, or products containing those foods.

So it is perfictly fine for humans to be vegetarian

This is true, but it remains that it is far more difficult to do the appropriate planning -- and you have to do planning. I think, at a minimum, that total vegetarians should take certain supplements that may be redundant for others.

It also requires that you include certain foods that many may find unpalatable, such as beans and soy.

This being the case, when health is the only concern, the personality and taste of the individual needs to be thought about, especially whether or not the individual will go to the trouble needed.

For those with the taste and the willingness to do the work, it is a fact that all forms of vegetarianism tend to be less expensive and, overall, healthier.

There is a vast Indian vegetarian population who thrive on it without supplements. Meat eaters absorb vast quantities of DNA in addition to the antibiotics the animals will have lived on because they are constantly infected with salmonella, bacterial infections and viruses....no wonder we get bird flu (eating ducks in China and turkeys in UK?) and swine flu (UK+?) and colonic cancer etc. By the way omnivores eat each other. They are carrion who eat anything 'edible'. Swine will eat pretty much any food. Modern farming wants animals to eat foods strange to them, often containing animal constituents for protein and fat. Very dangerous and very nasty. Why do they do this>? For money. Do they undertake risk analyses? Yes but the amount of money to be made using up waste producrts outweighs the risk of destroying our next generation. Google News article today says organic food has less taste and nutrients than normally produced food. 'Normal' food is natural and organic, they mean than artificially produced mutant crops using hormones and dangerous chemical dressings to .... make more money. Great leave the organic tasteless stuff for people like me and dont breathe your viruses on me unless absolutely necessary. Kissing for example. EAT MEAT IF YOU MUST BUT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT YOUR LOCAL ABATTOIR TO SEE HOW IT IS PRODUCED. Otherwise you are as much in denial as those people who thought their neighbours had been taken away in trucks to holiday camps because that is what they had heard.

This is why I try to eat consciously!

"While the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the people, and Jehovah smote the people with a very great plague."

:) God bless you!

"Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast."

"What unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats... And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil."
