Why is Biden so afraid of press conferences? Not a single one yet in 50+ days.

As much as I believe I am the most important person (probably ever :p), I am sure there is value in them. I just don't subscribe to it myself.
If press conferences don't matter to us,
why should they matter to anyone?

That's a good question. I find that the answers that are usually given are practiced and hold little genuine value. Perhaps there are other people who see the value in the updates? I am not sure.

"Actions speak louder than words", plus Biden can logically let others speak for him. However, he is supposed to have a press conference soon, the last time I heard.

And you tell that the Pubs are getting desperate, thus trying to find anything to pin on him, not only on this but also on the vitally important issues of Dr. Seuss and Mr. Potatohead. Yep, these rank right up with the attempted negation of the election and the attempted take-over of the Capitol by Trump's minions. And the attempt by Republicans in 44 states to basically enact Jim Crow-type laws is no where nears as important as Dr. Seuss and Mr. Potatohead. [/sarcasm]
Okay am I the only one who finds the Republican “outrage” over Dr Seuss completely hypocritical?
I’m all for free speech or whatever. But I remember the American republicans constantly in the news for banning (or at least trying to ban) every book that even mentioned gay people in a positive light for like years. Not to mention the burning of Harry Potter on mass. And the protests against the Simpsons or whatever. Our news castors always seemed so baffled by such stories, it was kind of humourous

Love him or hate him....a Prez's press
conferences provide confirmation.

Joe Biden can't handle a press conference - where is the outrage?

Its clear he can't handle it without coaching imv.

Guess that leads to the next question.

When is he going to hold a solo press conference? Never?

Didn't he promise weekly addresses as well?

Biden just gave the weekly presidential address a reboot
Maybe he’s busy running the country?
Only narcissists have press conferences all the time.
Is this really what people care about these days?
Man you Americans must be going stir crazy in lockdown.

All the time? He hasn't done any yet.

Every president has had a press conference for the last 100 years except Biden.

Your putting all of them in the same boat then?

Biden is actually the only President now in 100 years time who's busy running the country?

It should bother people if they are not informed.

A closed administration is something to be concerned about.

It's an issue of accountability.

The White House Press Office holds regular press conferences, I even think they are daily. I don't need to see Biden give a speech every day.

Yeah we’re in the middle of a pandemic. Maybe he’s busy?
I mean no offence, but this seems a bit...desperate to criticise?
So he doesn’t hold a press conference? So what? I fail to see an issue here

I suspect he's trying not to say anything stupid by delivering announcements rather than taking questions. He has a press secretary to handle press questions, and she seems to be quite good at it.
She ought to be president then.

Its obvious that he's in mental decline and is being carefully scripted and hidden. Plausible deniability was the term his partner used concerning the Biden's and China.
That is my suspicion, too. He is incoherent even with a teleprompter infront of him. I'd hate to see him off the cuff, and obviously his handlers feel the same so they're keeping him on a tight leash. I feel bad for him, honestly.

You aren't his doctor, it is not your place to assess such things.
People said the same thing about Trump, and they are wrong.

I don't think you really want a discussion surrounding presidential tradition, do you? I think giving him the benefit of the doubt would be helpful given the environment he took office in. There are quite a few unprecedented challenges that he is trying to solve. But next time I talk to him, I will let him know Twilight Hue on Religious Forums really wants to hear from him. We will see what happens.

The same Leftist who grilled Trump for 4 years have no desire to question Biden. Although there has been bipartisan discussion about taking war powers away from him.
