Why is evolution even still a debate?

Everyone has "hope" per se.

Not everyone has hope in a god or a heaven.
The hope that everyone has is hope, not "hope" per se. I get that you couch it that way so as to insinuate that your is the only actual hope. But seriously. No. :)

Huh??

More like hope I wake up on the morning. Hope my kids and grandkids are happy. Hope this new war ends. Hope etc.

Not hope a god or heaven exist.

Evidence that we evolved from another critter? Very debatable. Evidence that everything started with a single celled organism? Again, very debatable.
It's actually not. We've found, studied, and analyzed many of these other critters. The fact we share similar DNA with life as widely varied as dogs and daffodils also further reduces the ability to seriously challenge and debate evolution.
We have evidence. You have a book that cannot explain homo habilis and it fails to mention things like the dinosaurs.
Or a woman from a penis bone (baculum, mistranslated as rib).
I wish I was joking, but I was taught women have an extra set of ribs that men don't have.

Hope is an illusion that leads to undiscovered disappointment.

Ah. My mistake. I thought you placing your self on the hope side of hope vs evidence. I can get behind your hopes

Evidence of what? That things change? Sure any creationist would agree. Evidence that we evolved from another critter? Very debatable. Evidence that everything started with a single celled organism? Again, very debatable.

Do you think that every species that is living today(or has lived) was on Noah's ark or did they evolve from other species?

And I will put forth that my oldest daughter is christian and very religious. She believes in the bible, god, heaven and hell.

The only time I butt heads with her and her husband is when they speak of the man comes first, the woman comes second and the children come third.

I tell them BS! The children should be first.

Evidence from biology, paleontology, geology, archaeology, zoology, cosmology(if you want to talk about the universe too), etc has an over abundance of evidence.

The other side has the bible and stories of the past.

I'm not saying any god(s) do or do not exit. Heck maybe they do and one created life as a science experiment to see how it would turn out.

The whole evolution vs creation argument breeds hate and distrust world wide

That's my thoughts anyways.

It will remain a debate until anyone ever show a gradual change in species caused by survival of the fittest without regard to consciousness ort experiment.

That should be shocking, shouldn't it?

Have you read my version (posted in other threads) of the creation of Eve from Adam's baculum? I can re-write it, if you want.

Yep. Our responsibilities run forward primarily. All else comes second. But the man comes first thing is ridiculous.

I don't understand the point you are trying to make. We know that non-Africans have Neanderthal genes, for example.
