Why is suffering present in this world?

OurCreed

There is no God but Allah
That's exactly where we differ. Yes god knows all things, but in what sense, he knows all the possibilities but allows us to make choices because he allows it to happen.

A human being is limited to only so many options so god knows the possibilities.

We also believe that God has full control of his abilities and may exercise them as he sees fits.

I don't disagree with anything you said above. But that still doesn't solve the issue. Evil clearly exists in this world, and if you believe in God, then God should have the power to stop that evil. You're not answering this issue.

OurCreed

There is no God but Allah
God created Satan, but god created him good, satan chose to become evil, that was not gods will. He wanted all to be good. But since satan chose to disobey he made use of him after satan disobeyed him as well. If adam would have obeyed none of this wickedness would be present

If God was all-knowing, He would have known Satan would choose to do evil.

And if Satan had the ability to even CHOOSE evil, how did that evil get there? God created all things, so that evil that Satan chose had to come from God.

Again, you fell into the trap. You cannot answer this! No matter how much you try, everything goes back to God. This is why the Islamic religion gives the correct answer.

Surah-al-Falaq (Second to last chapter of the Qur'an)

In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful
1) Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
2) From the evil of that which He created
3) And from the evil of darkness when it settles
4) And from the evil of the blowers in knots
5) And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

God is the creator of evil, and from this evil, there comes darkness and satanic forces that whisper into people's hearts, and makes people become envious and jealous.

Actually that the problem I have with Islam with all due respect.
1. God has this evil to test us.
This doesn't make sense to me.

In Christianity
1. God purposed everything to be good from the start (this is a difference from our religions)
2. But satan chose to disobey god. This is basically challenging gods way of doing things.
3. Satan disobeyed god when he seduced adam and eve to sin. God could have destroyed all 3 of them right then and there. But god was going to use satan to prove what leadership without god brings.
4. After adam and eve sinned they lost perfection and could no longer produce perfect humans genetically. Because a perfect human was no longer available we have no ability to prove satan a liar.
5. That's where jesus comes in a perfect man is tested by Satan and proves that a perfect man can resist sin and remain faithful to god.

So god gave us rules that are good for us, he knows what is best for us.
And he has all the right to rule because he is right satan is a liar, and we see the results of Satan's rulership.

Your religion has heaven and hell, those who do evil go to hell, those who do good go to heaven. This is the same with all Abrahamic faiths in a nutshell. So if this doesn't make any sense, then you have a problem with your own religion, let alone Islam. There is evil, it's there as a test and determines who goes to heaven and who doesn't. Whoever created that evil is a different question altogether.

But satan chose to disobey god. This is basically challenging gods way of doing things.

Who created satan? Did God know what He was going to do?

Well we have do have heaven for some, a paradise earth, a second chance for some, some will just fall asleep in death permanently. But it will be fair, and the 1000 year reign is an important part.

Whether god knew or not satan was going to disobey is irrelevant, god acted good first in creating everything good.

This is the main part for me god creating everything good, god created everyone hoping they would obey. God desires all to repent or do good.
You say god created to test, I say god created with good intentions. Big difference. Huge difference.

You still didn't answer the question.

Who created Satan?
Technically, God created Lucifer -and Lucifer then made himself Satan (Adversary) by choice.
That is not to say that God did not know it was possible.
He knew it was possible -just as he knew it was possible for Adam and Eve to sin.
God created the situation which allowed for individuals to will and do evil -but he did not create any evil beings.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

The choice to do evil was theirs -but they did not necessarily fully know or believe it was evil.
God created new creative beings -which means they had the ability to make choices.
Those new beings did not have experience -therefore they were not able to know for certain that God was who and what he said he was -or that what he told them was truth.
Even Lucifer's sin was initially somewhat in ignorance.
To know God is God and tells the truth requires experience.

That is what is meant by the following......

Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Hare Krishna,Hare Krishna,
1. Use your own faith or set of beliefs to rationalize why the world is corrupt and will it ever get better?
2. You must be able to explain specifically why if you believe in a deity why he continues to allow his creation to continue this way.
3. What hope is there for the future according to your beliefs? And can you live with your answer?
4. Please use references or use logic.

1. Suffering is a state of mind, created by the senses and the mind. However, it is real for those who do.
Action is neither good or evil. Even the most saintly acts will leave some amount of suffering.
Buildings for the homeless will cause insects to die, food for the hungry will cause plants and animals to die. So the perception of an action is solely what we feel.
Ego, the 8 manifestation of Krishna or the supreme cosmic Lord often gets entangled on personal senses and thus focuses entirely upon onself... Attachment to the senses and sense objects causes greed, greed causes anger, anger causes delusion, delusion causes false memory, bewildering memory causes loss of intelligence and then intelligence is lost the person can never stop harming other lives.
Thus, others suffer for the delusion of one. Also there is the karmic baggage that treats one like they have treated others previously.

2. No one allows suffering as in the universal reality, nothing is evil or good.
All souls are parts of Purusha or the supreme consciousness and energy is Prakriti. So, None can stop evil and suffering... It's a personal state.

3. There is no future or past for us. There is no beginning or end to us.
The self or the soul existed before space and time and will continue to exist long after the universe is destroyed. The soul is not the body but the eternal truth, indestructible and original.

4. I m a Hindu, buddhist and a Taoist, which is mostly a philosophy on personal understanding of the universe. Dogmas are limited.

Who created Satan?
I did answer the question. God created satan.
But god is good.
1.He created satan good.
2. Satan became evil
3. This shows god intended for satan and everyone else to be good.
4. So whether or not god knew, god had a good intention before anyone.
5. If all that God was created was good then he obviously had good intentions.

Your initial statement, found within your first question is incorrect. The world is not corrupt. Certain aspects of it certainly are but to label the world corrupt would require the whole world to be corrupt. If you were to say some parts of the world and some leaders are corrupt, I'd agree.

Now, as to why Allah allows this is the wrong question. It is not necessarily why but rather, how. You see, God created human kind with free will, he gave us the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. To follow good or follow bad. If we have corrupted society, it is our fault, not the fault of God. He gave us the tools to reason and choose. We have used those tools in an incorrect manner.

Facts.

I think a better question would have been: Why did he create us?

Better Questions:

Why did Allah create us? For what purpose?

I get this life is a test. But why did he want to test us?

Why did he offer us Jannah?

This is different to what the thread was asking us but it's a good question.

God did not just create us, human beings to worship him but all creation. The difference is, lesser forms of life, with lower intellects and no free will, have no choice or say in the matter.

I already had a answer for this, just a better question then the one that was on the thread.

May Allah Grant you Jannah Al-Firdous

Where in bible does it say Lucifer?
Technically, Lucifer is a translation of another word which also means bearer of light/day star/morning star in Isaiah 14:12.
Usually, when this question is asked, the one asking has a response ready which is meant to show that it is not referring to Satan -or something similar.

Names and descriptions in the bible can be a bit cryptic -as many may be used to describe one person -or the state of that person.
Simon being called Peter, for example...

The one called "the beast" in Revelation is also referred to as a king of fierce countenance, the (last) king of the north, the prince of Tyrus, that Wicked, and the Assyrian.

Elijah is another name which might confuse... There was the original Elijah the Tishbite, then John the Baptist, the Elijah which would restore all things, and Elijah the prophet (the original living again) before the great and terrible day of the Lord.

Satan is also called by many names or descriptions -usually describing his state after iniquity was found in him. Isaiah 14:12 refers to his state before he became the devil, destroyer, adversary, Abbadon, Appolyon, dragon, etc..........
