Why is the theory of evolution...still considered a theory?

I could be in the darkness but it is lighter than where Muslims are.
Ignoring overwhelming evidence is being in the darkness.
Could you tell me which evolutionary biologists say, "There must be something smart to create this world..."? I know of none.

The fifth Shia imam 13 centuries ago has said:
GOD THE EXALTED since creating the world has created SEVEN KINDS NONE OF WHOM WERE AT THE RACE OF ADAM . He created them from the surface of the earth and set each being after another with its kind upon the earth. Then he created Adam the father of mankind
This possibility that all evidences that u refer to them are from another generations that were similar to Adam is enough to prevent evolution from being proved
And those who are in darkness like u can't understand that they are into it
Without god this world is meaningless
We are created to know him not to eat and have sex like animals

I do believe Quran partly speak about some steps of evolution , but NOT as origin of creation.
I do following Dr Adnan series for that reason to understand evolution theories.
I am at 4 eposide, almost 20 eposide remain (each eposide is brief of his long searching,almost 1 hour)

It's against your interpretation of the Qur'an, maybe, but there certainly are Muslims who accept evolutionary theory. There's Muslim scientists like biologists. If they didn't accept evolutionary theory, they couldn't do their job.

U can interpret not only religious text but also every text according to your own passions

Regarding hermeneutics issues the most learned scholars can interpert God's book not everyone
Besides interpretation is needed somewhere that the meaning of text is unclear not such verse that I mentioned about creation of Adam from clay

According to the 2008 U.S. Religious Landscape Survey, when asked whether they agree with the statement "Evolution is the best explanation for the origins of human life on Earth", 16% of American Muslims said that they "completely agree" and 29% said that they "mostly agree". It's on page 141.

Besides isis(takfiri) groups call themselves Muslims but are they really Muslim????
And Quran's statement about creation of Adam from clay isn't something that can bear more than 2 meaning or interpretation
البقره
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." (30)
This is another proof that befor the creation of Adam lived some living things like human that angels knew already about their activities

And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. (26)
آل عمران
إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ خَلَقَهُ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was. (59)
