Why is there anything at all?

“I think eventually the aim is how to channel these laws of the mechanics of the universe
to better our human lot, improve our living, and master knowledge to extend human life to
indestructibility.” Feedmysheep, Oct 2024, Religious Forums, "Why is there anything at all,"

To me in logic, your words are the words of so true life, bless all and thank you Feedmysheep

Peace to all,

KJ21
Jesus answered and said unto him, “What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt know hereafter.”
James and Peter and John witnessed the transfiguration and were told not to talk about the Transfiguration until after Jesus's resurrection and James and Peter and John all speak of the Transfiguration in their Gospels.

To me the rationality and faith in the logic of "The Human Lot" improvement logically and rationally is from created mortal and corrupt mankind becoming to immortality and incorruptibility, becoming again, glorified and transfigured as one in being together with God, the Creator, with Jesus and The Holy Spirit in Person together united in being to be able to see God, The Father with New Eyes, new everything.

To me in logic, what Feedmysheep may be saying in logic, rationality and through Confirmed Faith in the Christ in all mankind is perhaps: The Logic in the Mysteries of The Faith from created into mortality and corruption from birth, born again transformed into incorruptibility and immortality and saved becoming again, glorified and transfigured, finally and logically and rationally all through the Faith Of Abraham. We know God promised eternal life and swore by His own name eternal life to Abraham and Isaac, eternal life to the descendants of Abraham and Isaac and Sarah and Hagar and Ishmael, to all the descendants from the Father of Faith, Abraham. Two thousand years later God fulfilled His Promise with eternal life becoming from the death and resurrection through The Christ for life in all mankind from the spirit through the flesh for the souls of all beings in the Body of God becoming again.

Today's Reading from Luke
29th Week in Ordinary Time
“Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward
whom
the master will put in charge of his servants
to distribute the food allowance at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so.
Truly, I say to you, he will put him
in charge of all his property.
then that servant’s master will come
That servant who knew his master’s will
Much will be required of the person entrusted with much,
and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.”

To me the created becoming and becoming again is the “indestructibility” He delivers from the Ark Of The New Covenant in Heaven through failed Creation delivered by The Power of the Holy Spirit in the Virgin Birth of The Christ through the Immaculate Conception and the First Christ in the mind of Creation becoming into the flesh of a Human when Mary said in 0AD, "Let it become to me your Will, God" for all to become as one in being. From the Person of The Holy Spirit and God through the flesh of the Person of Jesus and God for the Person of the Father and God each equal in The Power of Creation, The Father and God, and Transformation into immortality and in-corruption by The Son and God and Transfiguration through Glorification through the Powers of the Person of the Holy Spirit and God and Each Separate in Being and God, and together in union as one God in being. We are created mortal and corrupt and become to sanctified and transformed immortality from the spirit through the flesh for the flesh and soul of the newly sanctified being washed in the living waters of Baptism and incorruptibility from the death to life of the flesh and transformed becoming to immortality from the spirit through the flesh for the spirit of the being in the body through Sacrifice we are Confirmed in Communion and re-Sanctified in hearing the Words of Absolution becoming absolved in sin through Penance and forgiven through the Confession of sin from death to life in the New Holy spirit and life becoming again glorified and transfigured into the image of the Creator and God for The Father God.

To me in logic, the Sacraments from Death to life from the spirit through the flesh for the soul of the being in the Body of Christ are Baptism and Penance.

To me, Baptism logically gives rebirth to the flesh mortal becoming into mortality through death and resurrection and soul transformed sanctified from failed and corrupt to becoming into the intelligence of Creation in the mind of God as exactly synonymous in the logic of "What would Jesus do in all cases of the fulfilled faith and morality of The Christ in all mankind and sanctified from created mortal and corrupt to becoming sanctified in immortality and incorruptibility and to be able through death and resurrection to become again, gloriously transfigured into the image of the Creator for The Father.

And to me, Penance logically saves the spirit image to manifest from the Holy Spirit Person and God through the flesh of the Person of Jesus and God for the soul of the being in the Body of The Christ in all mankind and all Son's of God becoming again re-Sanctified and glorified and transfigured into the image of the Creator God, for The Father and God, united in One God in Being.

Peace always,
Stephen

Peace to all,

To me in logic, the object is controlled through the power of the logic. Fiat power of earth is The logic and is the intelligence that created the image of the manifested object. To become the best object required the best logic in intelligence. Conscience is life from power and power on earth is from the sun. The intelligence of the object is the manifestation of the selected intelligence to manifest the object. Sun powered conscience makes aware through the object the choice manifested by the logic selected. We know the sun is not eternal power.

To me, here we can explain created, transformed and transfiguration creation to perhaps non believers in a God. Through what is Big Banged transformed and transfigured through logic and power and manifested objects.

But what is missing is that which is fulfilled in not only faith, but morality has to be accepted in the patern of Creation as What would Jesus do in all cases of fulfilled faith and morality. And we know from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil which logically created the greatest gift, Love, through the fall of Creation, we know we can only judge one's self and not others.

To me, the real power and real intelligence of creation is from divine fiat power, from Latin meaninga and consisting of power and control and translates to "let it be in the control of the one in power". The eternal power of creation is manifested through the Word becomes flesh and is The Christ, the mind of God in the flesh of humans, the power and control and the becoming of all mankind to become again into the image of creation in the intelligence of infallible creation becoming just like our Brother in the flesh from the cross when He said, "Ecce Mater tua", and follws the logic as "What would Jesus do in all cases of fulfilled faith and morality."

Peace always,
Stephen

This foolishness does not remotely resemble the sciences of evolution, It is jumbled nonsense.
You're right on time with the typical tactics of condescension instead of substance.

Let's not forget the main subject of the thread - Why is there something instead of nothing?
I say because God the Creator had an eternal plan. And reading Genesis is one place
where we get a glimpse of this plan.

Do you have the answer for the question? I'm interested in your reason why there is something
instead of nothing.

Genesis Creation account and the Noah Flood are is evolved ancient mythology with no objective evidence thay are a factual account.
That's not how I see it. I see it as there being many accounts of these events which were in the collective
memory of early people. They embellished what was passed down endlessly to accomodate for local
needs after man spread across the planet after the Tower of Babel.

It is a question of who copied who? And where is the genuine account among the mariads of
adoptions and modifications of the acount. Among all the accounts I believe the accurate one
is preserved for us in the Bible.

Now as an unbeliever may have a vested interest in believing that one of the OTHER adoptions was more
preferable. So we get something like - "Ah, the Bible must have copied it from _________________." But this was just a reflection of thier preference of a version with less moral import than is conveyed in the Bible.

For an example - I believe the Genesis account, even if as only oral tradition at first, predates the Epic of Gilgamesh. The Bible skeptic will often say "Aha, the Epic of Gilgamesh furnished the background of the Noah Flood in the Bible."

Some?!?!?! Not competent mathematicians, ah . . . yes ignorant creationists with an anti-science agenda.
"No competent mathematician . . . " like "No true Scotsmans" fallacy. Look that one up as well.

According to David Berlinki, the inventor of the Van Neuman machine, which is the bases for modern computer architecture hooted at the idea improbability of Darwinian gradualism.

Hungarian and American mathematician and physicist (1903–1957) Jon Van Neuman

Now I am not going to say I am well read in Jon Van Neuman's writings. No, I do not
think Berlinski is dishonest or "unethical" even if he is a non-Christian member of the Discovery Institute.
You may dismiss him with a genetic fallacy kind of argument.

Maybe in your next post you could use your imagination just a bit.
Describe to me what you think was the FIRST instance of "Natural Selection."
I know you don't know. But explain how you think the first Natural Selection event took place.

The billions of years of earth history is mor than enough time for evolution to take place.
Another question. Let's say we have a large warehouse size container with all the components of a modern
pipe organ. But everything is in a mass jumbled heap of metal, brass, wood pieces, ivory, etc. Better yet only the molecules of the components enough to produce a pipe organ are mixed up in the container.

Now sometime in the far, FAR distant past somthing caused that large container and spin in outer space. It was spinned sent it off through the cosmos. After billions and billions of years that container comes by and falls to earth. Somehow it is not destroyed but goes rolling down a mountain side.

Do you think we might here the sound coming out of the barrel like, let's say, Bach's Taccato and Fugue in
D Minor?

That is like what you are asking me to believe. Not "God of the Gaps" but "Big Time of the Gaps."

This represents incompetence in the extreme with an ancient religious agenda.
Come now. You have your modern religion with your modern agenda.
You want call it science. With theories like this the proudest of the proud will never change.
They just grow old and die. Another generation of scientists come closer to more reasonable
re-examination of the old orthodoxy.

The religion charge to Evolution is what is not observed, not repeatable in laboratory but clung to

Yes, an impossible hypothetical imaginative idea,
My point is that man's curiosity usually lead him to either invent of imagine how he can use
his knowledge to improve and extend his life.

It is interesting you quickly recognize "an impossible hypothetical imaginative idea."
But you fail to see how impossibly imaginative a grand Evolution theory is.

Look at this video for just a few minutes about a Kinesin protein walking on a microtuble in a cell.
Ignore any short ads at the start -

Do you think such a walking biological machine developed apart from an intelligent planning Creator?
Look at the right and left foot. How many billions of years of "selecting" got those two "feet" to
walk in such a manner?

The mechanism walks around and knows where to go. It does correction of damaged parts of the cell.
Things like this do not happen by ridiculously long periods of accidents. You go ahead and believe
that if you want. I don't believe it.

No you say to my suggestion science has an eventual aim to achieve everlasting life.
Some futurists in the field of machine / man interface talk of it. Some consider android "life"
as the next step in evolutionary progress.

I keep up with these things because I find them interesting not because I am anti-science.
Because of the wisdom of the Bible I know where it is all leading.

No to man's technology competing with God you say.
But I don't believe no is the answer.

I think man cannot come up with anything really 100% original.
Man imitates in some way what already exists in nature. And nature was created by God.

I think man reads out of nature the intelligence inherit in nature.
Man is made in the image of God as Genesis 1:26 tells us.
And the ability to read out of nature its laws reflects the mind of his Creator which
placed into nature the laws.

He who planted the ear, does He not hear? / And He who formed the eye, does He not see? (Psalm 94:9)

A naive imaginative goal.
That's not what I believe. I believe we have the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a foretaste and pledge of
what ultmately is to come. Death swallowed up in victory is a inevitable vindication of Christ and His full salvation.

Now I have been told that Evolution has no goal. Is that what you believe?

"Natural selection is the simple result of variation, differential reproduction, and heredity — it is mindless and mechanistic. It has no goals; it's not striving to produce "progress" or a balanced ecosystem. Evolution does not work this way. This is why "need," "try," and "want" are not very accurate words . . . "

Evolution has NO GOAL - You say Yes or you say No ?

Maybe because consciousness requires it. If there were no consciousness, there would be no object for it, if there is an object, then there is consciousness of it.
I watched a good portion of that.
I think this amounts to saying there is something rather than nothing becuase consciousness (which is something) requires it.

I think this is a true statement - If anything exists something must have existed from eternity.

The existence of anything requires that something did not ever not exist.
That is God - uncreated, eternal, never has not been as the origin of all.

If such a being had the ability to become a man, if that was something this uncreated life wished to
do - Who in human history would you vouch is probably the best candidate for such a person?

I would say Jesus Christ. I would say no one else comes remotely close.

These three thinkers I think were in competion with Christ of the Bible.
But one by one the weaknesses of their world views are being exposed.

1. Darwin - with his explanation of where we came from.
2. Marx - with his vision of a utopian vision of the future.
3. Freud - with his vision of what to do about our sense of guilt.

These three demigods of 20,21rst century formed the basis
of societies wrestling with these three big questions.

I recommend the Bible as God's revelation to man about the big questions.

1. We came from His design of us in His image and according to His likeness. (Yet with freedom to choose).
2. The linear path of history will consumate in the kingdom of God - His perfect will for man.
3. The eternal redemption of sins, offenses, transgressions against the law of God by
the death and resurrection of the Son of God.

Science is about observation.
Show me in all human history where animal N gave birth to animal N+1 of a different kind.

It is noted that no examples were offered unless I have missed some post.

I was told in essence "There are many examples." But none were sited.
Rather glaring down the spectacles and remarks about education were condescendingly offered.

Why am I not surprised?
For about 90 years biologists have been trying to show
evolution from one kind of an animal to another has been attempted.

Mutations usually damage rather than enhance.
Thousands of generations of bugs results in only more bugs.
Bugs being the parents of more bugs some with mutational effects.
Some bugs were produced with mutations not advantageous.

Ninety years of experimentation has not resulted in the observing of macro evolution.
