Yeah, women and religious minorities do have some rights in Iran. There's churches and synagogues in Iran, unlike in Saudi Arabia. Tehran is a cosmopolitan city, as well. I tend to favor Shia over Sunni Islam, too. Interestingly, this Qur'an I bought is a Shia Qur'an and from Syria.I admire what I see and Iran. Women are sometimes allowed to take off their veil defiantly and protest the government and not all of them get arrested.
Iran also has a huge list of synagogues, as well as Jewish restaurants, Jewish cemeteries, Jewish schools, and Jewish hospitals.
Saudi Arabia and many Sunni nations like Pakistan would never allow that. Hence, I've grown a lot more fond of shi'ites than sunnis
