Why should cats be allowed to run free to kill birds and crap on my garden?

Because they are a destructive nuisance that kill for no reason often tormenting it’s victim before getting bored,spray stuff and crap on other peoples gardens rather than their own and have been known to cause accidents.

As they have done since long before humans evolved. It may not be nice, it may not be all pink and fluffy but who are we to interfere with another animals natural behaviour?

Me,I’m the one who will interfere with their behaviour,my garden my rules,the cat will learn (and so far so good) the easy way or get a good soaking.

I’m not sure many humans sprint accross a road from nowhere and get squashed.

As i said, cats were there long before you. However you are welcome to your superior human attitude.

Fyi. We lost a beautiful cat to a speeding motorist doing around 70 in a 30 kph limit, was that the cats fault?

But many humans crash, mow down pedestrians, damage property.

Also fyi, we have far more trouble with squirrels running across the road than cats, one usually drives to the conditions, when you dont you cause accidents. Or perhaps you want to victimise squirrels too...

It’s essential to get rid of this cat before spring as I built a wildlife friendly pond,I get birds visiting and I’ve made a hedgehog lair for hibernation,in the spring there will be frogs and toads,unfortunately cats do not fit into this set up for obvious reasons.

No it’s a herb garden I want establish before I go to New Zealand for a break,some cats are so dumb they can’t differentiate one from a litter tray,I’m happy to help with its schooling.

I’ve had a run in with this cat already,I gave him a warning shot with a stone,slow to learn he will get a soaking when I next see him,I don’t see why cats are allowed out at all,they should be kept inside,agreed?.

Domesticated cats that are allowed to run free are nothing more than pests,they are not wildlife and do not belong in my garden,my house and garden my rules,that cat must be taught a lesson it won’t forget.

1-0 to me,the cat transgressed again but when I saw it in the garden I waited,it was just dusk and it was heading for what it thinks is it’s toilet,I waited as it scratch the dirt and lowered it backside then gave it a good long burst,it jumped and ran off like a pack of wolves was after it.

Im hoping that will be the last I see of it but I’ve ordered a sentry water gun,I was lucky to get the cat this time so I’m taking luck out of the equation with technology.

I'm always sad when one of my barn cats kills a bird, but without cats we'd all be drowning in rodents.

Easy. Pick up the cat-crap, pop it down your toilet and flush it away.
Job done. This can become a regular routine job for you.
You can have some catty-poop tongs just for the job.
But don't hurt any cats....is my suggestion.

Where I live we get large seagulls dropping in to our garden and their crap is a lot worse. And if we go out to chase them away they nearly always puke up their last meal to assist in a faster take-off.
Lovely! But we don't hurt them.

And fox poop is stinky!

No intention of hurting it but I tried anti cat pellets and lavender but it didn’t work so I ambushed the cat and gave it a good soaking,I think it got the message but I’ve ordered an anti cat water cannon that fires when the cats in range.
