Christ reveals himself to us in the living gospel, as it is preached in terms of our identity, behavior, actions, speech and written word. Therefore, the Bible isn't a book of the dead, but a book of the living, since it is part of the living God's revelation to us.
Is there any substansive proof besides the bible that the Jesus Christ even existed?

The reason why I somethimesuse the Bible to prove that the Bible is false because of the fact that it is harder to use the "God made these contradictions to test our faith" argument when it's the bible ITSELF that's contradictory. After you read Gilgamesh (If you have read it), what did you use to prove that the Epic of Gilgamesh was untrue?
