LOL, have you heard about Hera?I think mainly because the biblical god, is definitely a guy type of character. A female wouldn't have let things get that out of hand.

Respect. That and it's the proper way of writing God in the pronoun form in English.
So if the first reason, same reason as (SAW) in Islam, I guess?
Yep. I mentioned it in a previous post, post 10 on page 1, but nobody responded to it.Most respected fellow! I don't appreciate this SAW in Islam for Muhammad. I don't think same reason is with this SAW for it stands for an abbreviation. For "He"...
Don't you all think there is no neutral form in Hebrew, Aramaic or Arabic so thats why by defualt God is "He" as orignal language states so?
I assume you're referring to George Carlin's interpretation, right?I think mainly because the biblical god, is definitely a guy type of character. A female wouldn't have let things get that out of hand.
George Carlin said:If there is a God, it HAS to be a man. No woman could or would ever **** things up like this.
Why does God have to be a He? I have noticed that lately... everyone says he when they refer to God. I try not to do that... Sometimes I slip because everyone says it and it is all I hear. Why is that? To me I always felt that God doesn't necessarily have a gender. What does everyone else think?

Jehovah creates Adam in his image. Then Adam looks at his crotch and says, "What in Your name is all this business down here?!"
Jehovah responds, "What do you mean? I made you in my image! Your business is the same as my business."
Adam nods in agreement, but he's still confused. "So what do you do with your business?"
"Do with it?" Jehovah replies in anger, "You're not supposed to DO anything with it! And for questioning my grand design, you shall be punished in a way that befits your transgression!"
Jehovah created Eve, and we men have been screwed ever since.
Well as a Christian it's just because of the Bible. Although he is a spirit and doesn't have body parts or whatever like we do he's referred to in the masculine so that's how we refer to him. I mean but who can really understand all that God is. He is Spirit I'm flesh, the small amount I know about him is because of his Spirit living in me.Why does God have to be a He? Painful in what way?His spirit lives in you? That sounds painful.
