Well, you say you "know" otherwise. Just like any guy in a bar with a strong opinionNo problem. I just know otherwise.
A little weird, if I may say so. But if true, then Jesus did not even exist 2000 years ago, let alone caused the Universe to exist.First of all, I think all of existence started in 1979 and that I am the reason for all of it. Secondly, I think the story of Jesus in the Bible has deeper meaning if one decides to look for it in my opinion.
Yes, that's a core part of Trinitarianism. It has to do with Jesus Christ being the divine Logos, through which the universe was formed.Colossians 1:15-16
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
According to who? Most Christians believe that Christ existed from all eternity, as God. And that contradicts the first chapter of John, as well.Jesus was not there at creation but God was.
Christ is but One of many messengers sent to earth by God. But there is only one God. Although the days of the week are named differently yet the sun is one and the same sun shining each day. God sends His Light to the world regularly not only Christ. So at one time He sent Abraham and Moses then Jesus and at another Buddha, Krishna, Muhammad and Baha’u’llah. The Names are different but the same Holy Spirit is revealed through them all.Colossians 1:15-16

Ahm, according to the evidence the universe has been around for about 14 billion years, the solar system including the earth about 4.6 billion years, life here at least 3.6 billion years, humans something like 200,000 years, and the bible god about 3,500 years.Colossians 1:15-16

Then why does Jesus say he is the Lord of the Living and not the dead, yet Paul says he is the Lord of the Living and the Dead?I believe Paul had the Holy Spirit and so had the Truth.
What evidence do you consider? From my experience Paul is spot on in I Cor, 12 about the gifts of the Spirit. That's fine.
That's what you believe.
I believe that because the Bible clearly shows that Jesus was conceived and that it was God who was the indwelling Spirit. Saying that Jesus was there before assumes that Jesus had another spirit separate from God which is not the case.According to who? Most Christians believe that Christ existed from all eternity, as God. And that contradicts the first chapter of John, as well.
I believe that means two different forms of dead. Dead in body and dead in spirit. Jesus was talking about spirit and Paul was talking about body. Then why does Jesus say he is the Lord of the Living and not the dead, yet Paul says he is the Lord of the Living and the Dead?
So much so that he completely omitted and disregarded Matthew 24:23 right out of the Bible!I believe Paul had the Holy Spirit and so had the Truth.

And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. (John 17.5, NKJV)
You believe this, but the Bible doesn't support it.I believe that means two different forms of dead. Dead in body and dead in spirit. Jesus was talking about spirit and Paul was talking about body.
Well, again, that's what you believe. What evidence do you consider? From my experience Paul is spot on in I Cor, 12 about the gifts of the Spirit.
Maybe you have seen a thread I posted a long time ago called How Paul changed the course of Christianity, or maybe not.Well, again, that's what you believe.
What do I believe? I don't think that Paul gave a hoot about what Jesus said or did..... He only ever mentioned the communion, execution and resurrection, you know, and nothing about Jesus the man.
Absolutely!Maybe you have seen a thread I posted a long time ago called How Paul changed the course of Christianity, or maybe not.
How Paul changed the course of Christianity
This is an excerpt from the book entitled The Light Shineth in Darkness, Studies in revelation after Christ by Udo Schaefer. This section explains how Paul changed the Christianity of Jesus. It is important to note that the views expressed by this author reflect his individual perspective and...www.religiousforums.com
I believe Paul never did that.So much so that he completely omitted and disregarded Matthew 24:23 right out of the Bible!
