While dissapointing it shouldn't be surprising. Wolverines flaws and complexity don't translate to an action adventure film well. A television mini series or full on series would be necessary to get to that level. IMHO
:biglaugh:
Well... my opinion on the movie wasn't meant to be funny, but I guess your opinion of what I feel is okay just as much as mine is. I liked the movie.
I do not think it is necessary to repeat these Wolverine solo endeavors.
Even though the next one is supposed to take us back to the Chris Claremont/Frank Miller era and be in Japan?
In Hollywood, I am certain that there are screenwriters whom are trying to come up with new, intelligent and challenging concepts for movies. And the resources of major studios are channelled into movies such as "Hugh Jackman Vehicle Movie II" AKA "Wolverine Takes on Japan using Adamantite Claws and Does Gratuitously Cool Stuff" AKA "Studio Prints Money Producing Inadequate Graphic Novel Adaptations Extremely Cheaply".
I believe Fox must make some X-Men-related movie at least every three years to keep the liscense they have from Marvel. So, expect more X-Men **** at least every three years.
They are only going to make a bastardised sequel every three years? Why not once a year, and really suck money out of this franchise? We could have Storm: Origins, Xavier: Origins...
I respect your opinion, and in some regards, it was enjoyable. What I found humorous was the fact that you said there was no major plot holes in the movie.
Thanks! I love articles like that far more than film reviews. Speaking of comic book adaptations, the AV Club's Books Vs Film is great too. The recent one on Watchmen might be interesting to comic/movie fans:
I understand. Well... what were plot holes to you? Who knows... maybe I will agree to some.
Here's what one site I like is saying about the movie (or not saying):
Harry's official position on WOLVERINE -- Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.
Watchmen found a link and this explains the numerous plot holes better than I could (he posted it on the Star Trek thread for some reason).
