And yet another bad call taints another World Cup game. England tied it right after their first goal but were not given credit.

What a shame. A very quick instant replay would have completely fixed that.

It seems to me like fate is stepping in and making the officiating so absolutely horrible in this WC that it's pretty much impossible not to institute some sort of video replay or something. I mean, there were two ridiculous calls yesterday. I understand that refs aren't going to be perfect, and they're going to make the wrong call sometimes, but the non-goal and the Tevez (first) goal were just horrendous, and extremely easily fixed through a quick video replay. And that's aside from the Henry handball, among other things.

If England had lost by one goal, say 2-1, FIFA would have come under enormous pressure to introduce goal-line (and many some other) technology.

However, loosing 4-1 might have shifted the focus of the game and as long as the current FIFA president is there, there is little hope.

Yeh but Germany only scored the last 2 goals against Englang because the poms were chasing the game throwing 9 men forward. Not a smasrt move against the Germans.

If that goal went in i think it would have been very interesting. Well it did go in..... to everyone except the officials.

Theres a huge difference between chasing a game and searching for the winner.

Australia got smashed because the offside trap failed constantly and because our defence was outplayed. We also played our best player out of position and had no recognised striker. 4-0 flattered Australia.

Yep, I want to see an australian coach coaching australia with australian players. Let the aussie team spirit be the extra bit of class rather than seeking extra class from coaches who don't believe in aussie soccer.

Goodbye the horrible Argentinians who looked like spice girls playing the Germans. Should have been cards for backchatting the ref and for diving for the South Americans their football was disgraceful.
