If there's one thing we should have learned by now its that billionaires make lousy Presidents.

Gates would have been a good president. Good leader and does good things with his money. Versus other billionaires consumed with greed at any cost.

I'm not sure. I doubt it. In the UK that's sort of like saying would Richard Branson have made a good PM? I don't think so. However, I guess it depends on what one's idea of 'good' is in this context. Good, to me, is dealing with issues that the public are actually dealing with, issues that affect people day to day. I see very little of this. So to me it's not really who would make the best national leader, but how can we give more power to local councils to deal with local problems more effectively.

IMO, I believe Gates would have a been a good president. I just do not seeing him being as political as Bloomberg. When Bloomberg gave the same tax evasion answer on the debate stage, it was over for me concerning him.

Gates wouldn't have been very accepted in America, he'd be seen like Al Gore at best.

Bloomberg didn't understand politics very well, to be honest.

No. They're part of the problem.

And are you and I part of the problem or part of the solution?

We are so quick to blame our leaders and potential leaders, but we are also part of the problem,

We are all sheep to their political spin. We don't take time to actually analyze the issues in different perspectives. We just go to our favorite talking heads and sites for opinion pieces and so on...

Yes, Gates would have mostly represented science and I fear too much of America believes more in faith than in science... Ughhhh!

Business people know how to get things done. Unlike yet another lawyer.
This is a myth. Business people have no idea at all how to get things done in the political world. It is nothing like running a business, in which the CEO can give orders and people jump.
