My faith and trust in God does not threaten the faith I have in my own or in other’s children. Those are not opposed emotions to me.

Yeah, that's a good way of looking at it. Always choose God above all since having a good relationship with Him is the foundation of everything else, anyway.

It's not right to reject your child over something like that and I can't imagine God approving of you doing that.

What I mean by reject is that I would acknowledge they are doing a great wrong and not reject God's judgment on the issue. I would not kick them out of the house nor treat them bad aside from holding the moral stance that what they are doing is wrong.

Oh, okay. I thought you meant you would disown them. I think it's okay to disagree with it and have boundaries but I don't agree with mistreatment or disowning your child because they are gay. That's just wrong.
