We wouldn't have those issues if the Socialist Democrats had any foresight and didn't promote open borders causing the mess.

How many times have the Democrat socialists strong-armed people and railroaded the 'sanctuary cities' right down the throats of the people that live there and basically told them to live with it.

I can give you a laundry list of oppressiveness from the Socialist Democrat all the way from The Nanny State to the Mandate.

Oh by the way, don't forget who forcefully puts legal 5 year olds in handcuffs by the police just because they're having a tantrum. Yea. Got to take care of the children.
It's time to put an end to terrorist alt-right Republicans who are shoving extreme Christianity down the throats of those who don't believe as they do, sentencing sick children to death by deporting them, giving handouts to the super rich and major corporations while screwing the middle and the poor, gerrymandering and other tactics to stay in power no matter what the people want, ignoring crimes by the current regime, staying silent while the right wing terrorists attack Muslims, Mexicans, Jews and others and on and on and on.

Could put it another way as well.

Q - Would you vote for a president that would even consider asking if nuking hurricanes is a way to get rid of them? If not, don't vote Trump.

Suppose it can't be any worse than voting for a past president who said there are 57 states.

I will not vote for any ticket that has Pence on it.

If Trump drops Pence, and the democrats run with Biden or Warren, I just might vote for Trump.

Better than the tyranny of living in a oppressive socialist Democrat state any day.
Oh my god, I'm so oppressed in California i was able to smile on my driver's lisence picture and I get to legally smoke pot and buy alcohol without restrictions on a Sunday, which means they are so horrible repressive and unreasonable they kill Sunday dinner plans by assuming I'm not an adult able to make responsible adult choices abs refuse to let me buy the alcohol I need to make dinner with. Damn then for not telling me no like that freedom and individual liberty loving red state Indiana. California is just so iron fisted, after all, that it cares if people know crap they are exposed to is a carcinogen. Oh my god, what will us living in such a totalitarian state with information that helps us make informed decisions? And an open internet? Its the seeds that lead to the French revolution!

So would Trump be your second choice to, say, centrist or conservative democrat?

As he tends to get the centrist label (at least nowadays anyway) what are your feelings towards Joe Biden?
there is no difference, imo. i do not plan to vote in 2020 , as i did not in 2016.

My God! You actually get to do that? No wonder Californians have to get their teeth whitened! :D

In the UK we end up giving the camera a soulless dead stare because they want us to be expressionless. My passport photo has a green tinge as well, so it looks really awful.

I know. We're so miserably repressed without all the plastic bag litter and having to bring our own bag to the store or pay 10 cents for one. OMG is just like living in North Korea because we have so many job opportunities to choose from and getting a paid lunch break at five house of work and a second lunch break at 12 hours. And our minimum wage is absolutely liberty destroying, and elevated civil equality is the death of liberty, I tell ya! It's just unbearable that random employment drug screens are generally illegal here, and facial identification of police cameras was deemed a risk to civil liberties. We are just so repressed here.

I'm not American, so can't vote. But let me be perfectly clear, if I were allowed, there are no circumstances I can imagine that would permit me to vote for that clod.

As to whether he can win in 2020? Sure, it's possible. After all, look at what humans have done throughout our history, so very, very many really bad ideas. There's not much we can't screw up.
  • 1859 - Thomas Austin introduces 24 rabbits into Australia, good for a bit of hunting, and some cute fuzzy. Ask the Australians if this was a good idea.
  • 1890 - Shakespeare fan Eugen e Shieffelin brings 60 starlings to New York, because they're mentioned in Henry IV. Good idea, America?
  • 1952 and 1960 (and other dates) - the Cuyahoga river through Cleveland bursts into flames from over-pollution. Since when are rivers supposed to burn -- aren't they supposed to made of water?
  • How about all those Asian carp in America's rivers, soon enough to reach the Great Lakes? Good idea? But it's not like that sort of thing hasn't been tried before, but not learned from: see, for example, the ravenous Nile Perch being introduced to Lake Victoria in Africa. Suddenly, there are 200 fewer species of cichlids in existence!
  • 2017 - Slims River, a vast river in Canada's Yukon territory, completely vanished in the space of 4 days, because climate change caused the glacier it flowed from to retreat.
I could go on and on and on, but believe me, there is ample evidence to demonstrate that we humans are capable of making really, really stupid mistakes, and then making them again because we didn't learn!

No, not when they are as stupid as this one. What do you think would happen when there is radiation in the oceans and in the air blowing in over land where people live and getting in food supplies, water supplies and so forth?

It depends on what type of nuke is used. You can make build high radiation nukes
or low radiation. Some nukes are ONLY radiation.
As it is, a relatively clean nuke (maybe hydrogen bomb, don't know) would have
little radiation and would be hard to pick up from background radiation. I am sure
that would have been considered.

On that point, airline passengers pick up more radiation than you would in
Chernobyl. And rocks emit radiation. So too do some smoke detectors. Lots
of this "nuclear" stuff is just political - and I despise that.

I am not American either. But... I cannot say how "stupid" Trump is because I have to depend upon American media
for that assessment. But the two issues I am following this week suggest there could more stupider presidents.
Obama, for the sake of a peace deal, gave Iran the opportunity to build a nuke down the line. This would result in
Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turykey, for starters, going nuclear tomorrow.
And China has long cheated on intellectual property, gamed the world trade rules, engaged in massive espionage
etc and American presidents did not want to rock the boat.
So Trump DID rock the boat with both countries. Sure, we find the guy offensive, but we need to temper assessment
with a little thought, and lots of comparisons and what ifs.

I try to entertain the idea of being fair and considering voting for him. But the moment I start to open my mouth to speak, there is a new controversional controversy where a certain someone isn't showing their best colors.

I really, really, REALLY wish that was wrong, but alas we are probably the most intelligent species on the planet while simultaneously being the most stupid. We don't learn from the past and we don't plan on the future. We let the rich and powerful do whatever the want, and, yeah, as you pointed out ask an Aussie how great that works out. And then ask an American how evil it is for the government to regulate things so such a thing doesn't happen again.

As for my vote, to clarify, due to concerns of Ginsberg's health I'll be voting Dem even if I have to bite by tongue and lips off and grind all my teeth off to cast the vote.

Obama, for the sake of a peace deal, gave Iran the opportunity to build a nuke down the line.
Actually quite the opposite as the agreement was being adhered to by the Iranian government to stop enriching at the weapon-grade level, which is why all the others minus Iran are still abiding by it.

So Trump DID rock the boat with both countries.
And we're paying the price both financially and internationally as most of our closest allies are in the "What the hell!" stage, wondering how we could elect such a guy.

My understanding (correct me if I am wrong) is that Iran had a time limit on its adherence to this treaty.
What was it? Ten, fifteen years? After this it could do whatever it wanted. Like China, Iran simply had to
play the long game. America thinks in four or eight year cycles.

I'm voting the no Trump option. Whatever that is. The Democrat would have to be uniquely terrible to keep me home on election day.

As things stand- there isn't one of the Democratic candidates I wouldn't prefer to have for president rather than Trump.
