Don't rush to judge George. After all, his girlfriend might have been wearing a hoodie and carrying Skittles. What decent man wouldn't draw his gun, given such a provocation?

To some people, standing over a man pummeling him bloody is called "wearing a hoodie".
It helps them feel that the perp is an innocent little lamb.

George Zimmerman is by no means without fault, but it's undeniable that people have stretched and twisted the original story.

Zimmerman, whatever else he might be, seems to me a hothead, with a tendency to take the law into his own hands, who stalked a man after being warned off by a police dispatcher. Your mileage may vary.

She backed into his knife or something . He was only holding it for self defense.!

She ran into his fist!

Nothing to see here people. He was just standing his ground, it's cool.

Im sure there is more to the story and he is probably completely innocent. Im sure he has to kill unarmed teenagers and how many other pregnant women for the next few decades.

After all hes on "neighborhood watch"

Sigh...the anti-gun rights crowd is using their poster child to grasp at straws again.
They never post stories like this one...
Zimmerman emerges to help family escape overturned car in Sanford, Fla. - U.S. News

Im not anti gun. If i was his GF or wife I would definitely own one . For self defense. Or his neighbor.

Im thinking of getting one (for myself) because one of his last offenses (since he murdered Trayvon) was within about 40 miles of my house .Forney Tx.

I have to admit though (without knowing the specifics of the case), it would also seem that his notoriety would also serve to facilitate people now making false accusations against him with a higher likelihood of being believed due to his past misconduct.

If we are going to keep doubting that people with a history of violent assault are indeed violent assaulters, we might as well consider letting go of the criminal offense entirely. Not many of them will swear to be, in fact, guilty once evidence is disregarded, now will they?

right . his pregnant GF is now calling 9-1-1 yelling into the phone he put a gun in her face and locked her out side all a lie.

You are right. and she would be lying about that because ????

'would also serve to facilitate' was intended to convey the message that such infamy might provide a capacity, not that the capacity was being used.

I was merely indicating that we cannot assume that any time we were to hear that someone we dislike is alleged to have done something bad that they are guilty, because that dislike can impinge on our ability to ascertain the truth of the allegations. I have no reason whatsoever to believe she lied and while his past history of violence might make her story seem more credible, it should not serve to substantively support the body of evidence from which we determine whether or not we believe him guilty.
