The question here is simple, why does the media twist everything to do with a muslim has being something linked to his her religion, way of life, culture, nationality and even skin tone but when the perpetrator of violence is white, we have to learn about their mental difficulties, their "kind nature" and their race, nationality and religion is never called into question?

In my experience, the media simply does not do what you just said. In fact, in my experience, the media in general bends over backwards to shield Islam from criticism and to ALWAYS remind us that there are very few terrorists (A fact I agree with BTW). In my experience, the media only calls a perpetrator's religion into question when the perp declares that his religion was relevant. For example, we do hear "Alluhu Akbar" frequently when Islamic terrorists are doing their terrorizing. We seldom hear "Jesus Rocks!" when a white perpetrator is committing violence. Should we not take the Islamic terrorist at his words? Wouldn't that be condescending?

Next, poll after poll tells us that - to this day - many Muslims take important aspects of Islamic scripture quite literally. Would it not be condescending for us to assume they don't know their own opinions?

Forget it, most people on here are either ignorant or plain liars. They hold the killing of thousands of innocents as something to be proud of and then when something happens to a white/non-muslim individual, they cry about it. They are hypocrites on top of everything else.
