Honey I'm Home!!!!!!!!!!

The difference between RF and CF is amazing. I'm still waiting for the bickering to start.:sorry1:
Think it's gonna take me a while to get use to this. :D

The bickering is scheduled to run from 2:30 AM to 3:15 AM on Tuesday next. Be there or be square! :D

Just curious. What's a Jack Mormon?

From wiki:

The term Jack Mormon is a slang term that originated in the nineteenth century. It was originally used to describe somebody who was not a baptized member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or LDS Church), but who was friendly to Church members and Mormonism, sympathized with them, and/or took an active interest in their belief system. In today's Mormon culture, the term "dry-Mormon" is its equivalent. Sometime in the early to mid twentieth century, the term changed culturally to refer to someone deemed by LDS adherents to be an inactive or lapsed member of the LDS Church who maintained good relations with and positive feelings toward the Church.

Zipster, good to see you here. Of course I am quite late on the arrival. Had my internet goofed up for a week after I moved. Boy I hate moving. But I have really liked it here so far.

Ran good to see you. We can now discuss doctrinal intracacies that only a sunday school class could outclass:bonk::ctr:

Lots of familiar faces here from the unmentionable other board. I was a fantastic lurker there, but plan to be more involved here. Thanks for the link from the other site. Looks like a fine place we got here.

I know what you mean. Even though there is still bickering on here, well maybe not in this section, I find people still respect others beliefs. They can agree to disagree and not resort to name calling if the discussion doesn't go their way.

The situation in CF is currently undergoing a change. It seems that many folks have spoken out, cancelled their donations, and generally created an unrest in suppord of LDS.

The LDS is currently represented only by a debate subforum hidden under the 'unorthodox theology' forum.

Friends of the LDS are trying to get the LDS a congregational forum back which will be hosted by the WWMC until such time as the leadership can be convinced that they were wrong to alienate the LDS forums.

As a member of WWMC in CF, I'd again like to express my admiration of the LDS folks who were removed from CF. You folks held your chins high, as you should have.

I'll be continuing to support the comeback of LDS in CF as long as I can. And, since you folks have a lot of support there, it will hopefully not be too long of a wait to get your home up and running again.

There's a lot of good folks on your side, and a lot of hard work ahead of us.

We won't back down 'til either the LDS has its forums back, or the rest of us get thrown out trying.

Why bother? If you can discuss your religion in a tolerant atmosphere, why would you have a desire to go back and discuss it in that atmosphere? The only reason that Mormons are allowed in some "Christian" forums is so that they can be proselyted to. That's a fact, and it isn't going to change - no matter how they dress up the packaging.

There are forums out there where the entire forum doesn't fall apart when someone suggests to put The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints under the category of "Christian." This is one of them. I suggest that those who support the LDS join this forum or others like it and stop supporting the more bigoted websites that are out there altogether.
