I think the closure of the lds forum on CF was the best thing that happened. Well, to me anyway. I never would've found this place if not for the closure. I've found a new home, now and it's far more superior. :D

On CF I got tired of the same old regurgitated crap. I learn more here. Which is better for my spiritual development. :yes:

Although I do kinda miss some of the people on CF. Just for what comes out of their mouth. Or at least on their screen.

I've never found another religious forum that compares to this one. I was a member on CF but I never posted. And I only visited a couple times.

I posted there for awhile, several years back. I met Apex there, actually. This really is a far superior forum. There's just enough "contention" around to keep things interesting, but there is far more real diaglogue and exchange of ideas.

Your absence during the weekly 45 minutes of scheduled bickering was noticed by several members, three mods, and at least one troll. All expressed alarm and deep concern that you might not be feeling well. Good to hear it was only a matter time zones.

Unless I'm mistaken, next week's bickering will be led by Katzpur, who has generously volunteered to serve as the week's troll, and will center on the theme: "How proselytizing by LDS youth in Korea causes hurricanes, plagues, and acne in Louisiana."

I can hardly wait! :drool: I've been looking forward to that discussion forever! :D I think we need this to be a real team effort. I've got to start looking around for a few people who actually believe that to be true. Come to think of it, though, that really shouldn't be much of a problem. I can think of a few right off the top of my head. ;)

That we are! The nice thing, though, is that unlike a lot of other forums, this one has a staff that actually manages to keep those nutcases under control. :group:

I think that is doubtful. Swart hasn't been participating because real life matters have been keeping him extremely busy. Frustration with the critics and politics of the forum were only a small part of it.

Still, it would be great to have him in whatever location we are at.

And I agree with everyone else, this is a far superior place to be.

:)

This is hilarious! Sunstone--you have talent.

There were a couple of features in CF that I kind of miss here. I liked clicking on the "OWN" spot and seeing my actual posts, rather than the threads I've been posting in. It really helps keep me on top of the conversations I'm involved in. Maybe that feature is here, I just haven't found it.
Also I miss a couple of the little characters like these :yes::confused::eek:; the one lying on its back laughing, for example.
Other than that, RF is great. And it's all you terrific posters that make it so!

I'm sure glad you guys are all here in the LDS section. There really is very little religion in this forum, despite its name. Sometimes the bitter feelings and hatred towards God out there in the other areas, is really depressing.
