If your family and/or friends look concerned when you talk about the threads you've been posting about that day.

You make one innocent little post and when you come back you have 50 not so friendly responses, and you try to be nice and answer all of them only to be inundated with 100 more and you realize you've aged some.

You keep hearing about a guy that's somehow everybody's daddy.

A hawt leather-clad woman with a whip "glomps" you or gives you a "squishy hug."

You find yourself pondering something like the fallacy of retrospective determinism (or some such) in a thread about bagels.

You develop a lightning fast understanding of what "DIR" means and not to post in most of them.

You tell one of the other members you'll see them on FB, Skype, or YIM later on....which might be all of 90 seconds.

When you post a response to someone, complete with quotes, and another person entirely takes it personally.

When you know you got on the net to look for a recipe or look up the symptoms of something and you find yourself commenting on the proper tactics of how to wear a metal bikini.

You know you're on RF when you find yourself ROFLing at all the comments in the "you know you're on RF" thread.

Christians start trying to convince people that we don't believe in some angry looking bearded man sitting on a cloud. ;)
Non-Christians start trying to convince people that they believe in some angry looking bearded man sitting on a cloud.

1. You use the words logically fallacious in RL
2. You can win a RL argument with words you read on RF
3. You've asked yourself "Where exactly is my notecard" and why does it keep talking about some character from Lord of the Rings.

You look up at the clock and notice it's 3am and you should have been asleep hours ago, but someone is wrong and they just won't get it! OR....you're having so much fun and laughing so hard you don't want to log off.
