Evil is in the mind of the beholder. To a fundamentalist christian, homosexuality and sexuality outside of marriage could be quantified as 'evil'
To a liberal, these very views held by that same christian might be seen as the evil.
A muslim might see the liberals views as a product of evil, while still viewing the fundamentalist christian as evil, despite the fact they might agree on this point.
Killing might be viewed as evil by some, unless it's, say, the killing of a pedophile, which might not be viewed in such a way, until the same liberal from the first example quantifies the pedophile as 'sick' and as such, would see the desire to have them killed as evil.
It's all relative, its all mindspace.
