It did startle me the first few times I saw it. I won't describe what he is wearing around his neck. :run:

Nice. Thank you. One really odd yet connecting thing to that image I just noticed last winter is He often tilts his head slightly, in some sort of reflecting pose. All (or most) of my childhood pictures, like school pictures, also have that tilt. I never noticed this before, until last winter. And you can guess what my real last name is.

Now that's one image I can do without. :) So too anything with Ganesha losing his head. The sight of blood gives me an averse reaction.

Oddly enough I always though the color blood was pretty to me. Is that bad? I.noticed Hinduism is so peaceful as a whole and yet there are times when it is not like with Kali.

Sometimes God(dess) has to kick butt to defend & protect.

How did you get a good print? I printed a picture of Ma Kali for Puja (I will probably purchase a murti when I get paid). but it came from a printer and the quality was not very good, but it served it's purpose.

Vanakkam,

I can be from many reasons:

- The picture is not a very good quality
- Your printer may have low ink
- You have to change the parameters before printing, maybe the parameters are set on "low quality" instead of "optimal quality"

It was the same picture that I posted here of Kali. I think the quality is just fine. maybe it is the low ink or I didn't set good perimeters.

True to all that. There are usually multiple images of a picture on the internet. You can often download or save a poor quality copy. I've gotten skunked like that with a picture I really liked, really poor quality not even worth downloading. If you use photo quality paper (I do), the "best image" setting is the one to use. At least for my printer. If you go to Google and put in "Kali images" or some search like that, you'll get a screen full of thumbnails. Some are way better than others.
