Your Paranormal/Magical Experiences

So what are your paranormal experiences?
I never had any paranormal experiences until my husband passed on last year.
What has happened is that the TV in the bedroom has come on all by itself. This has happened 11 times at various intervals since he passed in July 2022, beginning in September 2022. The last time it happened was on November 1 of this year.

I had the Comcast cable technician over to my house and he looked at what has been happening with the TV in the bedroom going on all by itself. The TV is in a cabinet with the doors closed and the remote control was not anywhere where it could be turned on accidentally. When the technician tried to turn the TV on with the remote control and the cabinet closed, he could not make the TV go on.

I demonstrated what had been happening to the cable technician. After examining all my equipment and looking at all the possibilities he concluded that it had to be paranormal since there was no 'normal' explanation. You should have seen the look on his face as he drove away! It's sure a good thing I was his last call for the day. He probably hit the bar after that.

Why are ghosts afraid of you?
I've been invited to a "haunted house" where a friend of mine said to have encountered ghosts frequently. While I was there nothing extraordinary happened. My friends explanation was that my aura of extreme scepticism kept the ghost away. That has become my tongue-in-cheek explanation why no paranormal activities happen in my presence.

Speaking as a veteran paranormal investigator, I tend to agree with your friend. In my experience, while either visiting or investigating suspected haunted locations, spirits will often shun people who are overtly suspicious of their presence. However, I believe it is possible for anyone to see spirits if they are in the right place at the right time or if a spirit chooses to manifest themselves. Based on my experience investigating the paranormal, I know that spirits are known to respond if they're treated with respect and asked politely for their cooperation, or they'll respond with vengeance if they're provoked to anger. But they can also be unpredictable and capricious with whom they communicate or manifest in order to further interact with the living. In most cases that I've been involved with, the spirits chose when and where they manifested or with whom they communicated, and it wasn't by chance that the living saw them. I've taken part in paranormal investigations in which one individual heard a disembodied voice while the person standing next to them did not. I heard the voice because, as a psychic medium, I can hear spirits speak as well as see them if they want me to see them. There have been times when I've sensed many spirits, but I didn't see them because they didn't want to be seen. I don't always see or hear spirits, but I can feel their presence all around me.

I've traveled across the country to investigate several notoriously haunted locations and didn't get a single response to record with my ghost-hunting equipment. On the other hand, I've been to locations that aren't known to be haunted and have been bombarded with poltergeist activity and personal interactions with spirits. I have, however, had a few dud investigations, despite having had many successful ones over the years. I have had unsuccessful investigations because the spirits are erratic and don't always respond and answer inquiries from the living. Furthermore, I realize that the spirits (human or nonhuman entities) don't owe me anything, and I'm on their home turf. In the sixteen years I've been investigating the paranormal, I've never demanded a spirit communicate with me because I know better than to disrespect the dead. I've never demanded an answer from a spirit or made a stern request for them to manifest themselves, and I've never provoked a spirit. For the record, I've started threads about the investigations I've done in different haunted locations across the country, like the Old North Church in Boston, MA; the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN; an old plantation turned into a hotel resort in South Boston, VA; and the historic Crescent Spa & Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR, which is reputed to be the most haunted hotel in the United States.

My experience came from having a heart attack.

I had a bad day. I was depressed about my health, business and everything else that came to mind so I went to bed early, thinking the sleep would help me forget. I was wrong.

About 2:00 a.m. I awoke feeling very strange. I couldn't see anything, but felt an energy or electric-like current running all through me. Also felt someone close to my right shoulder. I thought this was my wife, but soon determined the bed, with my wife in it, was far below me, and to my left. Wanting to find out who this presence was at my shoulder I tried to turn around. A voice said: "Please go back to sleep." It was a male voice that seemed to originate within my thoughts or mind.

I wasn't afraid, and I still wanted to know what was happening, so, I tried to turn again. The voice said: "Do you wish to continue here or would you like to go on?" After considering this question only a few seconds, I replied: "I want to continue, of course." My reply was given as a thought.

As soon as I had answered, the energy surrounding me began to grow in intensity. The stronger it became the more I felt loved and supported by it. I became aware of (or remembered) my spiritual nature, and also, my purpose for being here. (I felt as if I had always known these things, but had somehow forgotten them.) I further knew that all people share this love and support. That everyone is held safe and secure and loved unconditionally by the Creator.

The intense energy lasted about 15 minutes (estimate). During this time, I felt total love, support, belonging, and an expanded knowledge of many things. I never wanted to leave this beautiful state of being; but finally the energy subsided and the voice said: "Please go back to sleep." In the next moment, I was back in my body, with my wife next to me. The adventure, however, was far from over.

In the months following, the energy remained, though not as intense. I had many lucid/out-of-body dreams (dreams where you are aware of, and active in, the dream state) teaching me how to overcome my limitations and fears. My health improved, in about 18 months I was released from all medical care. In another 18 months, my business was sold and I found employment. Life was looking good again.

Currently, the story continues. I can still feel the energy. I am still learning about, and improving myself daily. I can't remember every detail the intense energy allowed me to understand, but I know the most important thing is to teach, practice and live in Love.

Agreed.

My most major happening was witnessed by several other people as well. It was extremely intense with no explanation, and went on for approximately an hour or two. There will never be any forgetting of that, or explaining it away.
“An hour or two”?! Grief, that’s a while! It can be dangerous. Was everyone ok, afterwards?

Care to provide any details? If not, I understand.

Yes, everyone was alright.

If you'd like details, send me a PM. Involves a bit of personal info I don't want out on the open forums.

I think everyone had these kind of experiences at some point in their lives, even the all-wise materialistic people but we tend to ignore and forget these kind of experiences because these don't fit to our perspective of mundane reality . So what are your paranormal experiences?
Hugging and petting my deceased dog and best non human friend I ever knew in what I believe was a dream. I was lucid dreaming, because I remember thinking this must be a dream and normally I would wake up at that point, but because I loved him so much and was broken hearted when he died. I did not wake up, because I wanted this "reunion" to last as long as possible, even if I knew that it was just a phantasm, I think. It was strange. That's the most recent thing anyway. He was called Ben. He was my constant companion. A loyal and trusted friend.

What a sweet story, and I'm sorry for your loss. It is comforting for me to see my deceased pets again.

@Little Dragon I really hope you see him again too. My dog story is quite different. We were given an unwanted pup but could not really look after her as the whole family was either working or at school. The dog had already had a very rough start to life and deserved better. Luckily my grandmother agreed to take her and they seemed made for each other.

About three years later we were told that something was very wrong with the dog. She had gone into the garden as was usual but a little later crawled into the house and just lay there.

Our dog was taken to the vet's but died shortly after. The vet said that she appeared to have suffered some sort of abdominal trauma. My grandmother said that the dog was always leaping about and that she must have struck herself on something. So that was that.

About fifteen years later I was on a day off and sleeping in. I awoke sitting up, my heart was beating fast and I knew that some stranger had got into the garden. The dog had run at him, as she would, and had received a brutal kick.

I don't know where this info came from, I don't recall a dream but I believe that I know what happened I am as certain of that as I am of anything.
I just don't know how I know and with such certainty.

That is very sad to hear. I believe we trust our intuitions. Dogs are sturdy creatures in my experience. If I saw anyone kicking a Dog in the abdomen, I would lose my ****.

I think it is a kind of magic. No really, you are using your paranormal forces to prove that paranormal doesn't exist.

Amazing. Have you ever thought that you may be using magic to make those spirits appear. I don't know if what I say is a thing but I just got this thought. I remember there were a group of people calling to an imaginary spirit and eventually that spirit manifested. I just got the idea that mediums are actually magicians but they don't know it. Even if the spirits were actual people who existed before, that can be explained by magic. I think you may be a natural magician but you are just using your powers in a specific way. Just my two cents.
