Saying someone said something he didn't say is lying. Lying is a worse sin than celebrating peace and goodwill.

Jesus never said anything about anyone's birthday.

Well, yes he did. You are of course free to ignore the scriptures. It is your choice. You couldn't possibly have done research in just a few minutes. You couldn't have, and you won't. So how can you make such a false statement if you have NO knowledge upon which to make your claim?

May I suggest you get a copy of the red letter Bible. It is a Bible published with the words Jesus is said to have spoken in red letters. OK?

And then there's MAUDE!!!
I'm an Episcopalian, so Christmas is a religious holiday for me. In fact, we do the gift exchange on New Year's Day so we can keep the focus on Christmas as a religious holiday.

I am sorry. I do think you are kidding me.

I assure you, I am not. I take the word of God quite seriously. In fact, I take nothing else at all to be anywhere near as serious. It is the most important thing in my life. I've been studying it cover to cover for over 40 years, in excruciating detail, and continue to do so now. As a minister of God, it is my duty. I take God's will seriously and am engaged constantly in warning others the things God instructs us to warn others of. The end of the end times is just about upon us. The tribulation and final battle are within eyesight. We are required to find as many as possible with honest hearts and show them how to draw close to God. I am not kidding you at all.

yet you think making a claim then flat refusing to support it helps you in the above described journey?

That is your decision. God said to not touch the unclean thing, and Christmas is a pagan holiday. Most religions are half pagan, and claim to be Christian. True Christianity is NOT A RELIGION and no true Christian has anything whatsoever to do with anything pagan, or anything that is part of the world. That includes politics, wars, greed, desires of the world, and on and on. Galations 5:19-21 is a pretty good place to look for a list of things to avoid.
What is your definitionof religion
Are you able to provide a summary of the concept of religion

prove it.
You made the claim, it is on your to support it, not on everyone else to do your homework.

Please keep in mind that if you cannot support your claim, it can be dismissed as wishful thinking.
I am not here to "prove it". I am here to find honest hearted ones, and you don't seem to be one of them. My homework? I think you mean your homework.

I'm not even sure that Christianity has anything to do with Christ. From what I can see it's become merely a social club for right-wing capitalists to dupe gullible constituents into granting them political power. But Christmas definitely no longer has links to Christ. One rarely sees Mary and her infant. Mostly it's Santa and reindeer.
Obviously.

I am seeing your computer meets the same criteria thus far...

Santa another man made invention, did not hijack anything.
People make Christmas what they wont of it.

OASN:
what difference does it make seeing as Christmas is a man made invention that Jesus never gave instruction about?

has become...?

Ah, so you are a polytheist then?

Only if you let it.

Nice ending for a sermon.
Kudos

Nowhere in the New Testament Jesus let instructions to celebrate His birthday.
We don't even know exactly when He was born. It could be early spring or early Autumn.

At the last Supper, when He shared the bread and the w ine, He told His disciples to do this every time they met in His name. Real Christians/Believers do this. Who are the real believers? I 'll try to tell you in a few lines; Christianity today has nothing to do with the teaching of Christ. To be a real Christian you have to repent and accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, then be baptized in water, thus burrying the self and rising from the water you are a new person ( spiritually this is the resurrection of Jesus) we become new persons, who are determined to live as Jesus did when he was in this world. Please see John's Gospel chapter 3 how Jesus explains this. A real Christian reads his Bible, studies the Bible, and keeps the Word. One has to have great faith in God, and start to read the New Testament and theOld Testament, too, and live according to the Bible. These are the real Christians . If you do not read the Bible , you will never understand the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. I hope this will help some of you. Bless you all

Where does Jesus say to spend so much time with the Bible?
I mean, you are so intent about Jesus not mentioning his birthday...

Jesus did not say spend time with the Bible. He says beware of the leaven of the Phaisees and the Sadducees which means their teachings. Where does a person find their teachings?

The proof given for "Jesus says not to do birthdays" is Matthew chapter 14 and Genesis chapter 40. If then "all scripture is inspired of GOD" then God did it. Even Jehovah does not say "Do not do birthdays" but some people believe it is implied by the stories told in the Bible as if God caused them to tell an important lesson. If it is true that the two stories "proving" God disaproves of birthdays then it isn't JESUS who said it, It is GOD who said it. I have a sneaky feeling you have another mission which is to prove Jesus is not God. Am I right? ........................I say; Am I right?

It's so obvious that most of you, including you, have no idea about the Bible, New and Old Testament, . How can you express an opinion about a book when you havenot even opened a page to read?? Tell me I am wrong! The good book is there for you and everybody to read it not criticize it without knowing it's content.
What do you want me to say about His birthday? Jesus didn't come to this world to make us celebrate His birthday ( which I repeat we don't even know when it is ) He came to this world to make us know who is the Father God, and reconcile us with Him. After the prophets, God tried for the Last time to save the world by sending His only begotten Son for that. Well I am not going to preach here, read the Bible, it's all there in black and white. It's your only and last chance because Jesus is coming soon, very soon......
