Actually, there is a regulation requiring such officials to use a server controlled by the government. Hillary did not do that. Her excuses were pretty flimsy.

But there is no evidence that it was a big deal either. Her immediate predecessor, Colin Powell, did the same thing. Nobody is calling him a criminal.

More to the point is that the private server wasn't a secret. From the State Department to the CIA to foreign governments to the Senate, everyone who cared knew about it. It wasn't important until it could be used as a campaign issue against a strong candidate.
It's a purely partisan BS thing.

Frankly, I don't doubt it. Last year I described her as likely to "pursue her agenda like a hungry velociraptor". I don't have any misconceptions about her being some kind of saint. But she lost and doesn't matter any more, except to people who prefer not to look at Trump honestly and clearly.
He has made public threats. Who knows what he has done and managed to keep secret. Including make the sort of threats you are attributing to that expoliticition you are going on about.

Trump fires the FBI director who is investigating him then essentially attempts to blackmail Comey on Twitter, yet here we are listening to people go on about Clinton's supposed corruption. Even though the FBI thoroughly investigated Clinton's emails and came up empty handed.

Also, let's not forget Trump bragged about sexually molesting women, and scammed a bunch of students with his fake school (among other things). So I am not sure where Trump supporters get off espousing the "evils" of Hillary, when they elected Donald Trump.
