Not if you understand the symbolism. Did you not know that Jesus wore a seamless garment?Oh, its just about fabrics.
Odd topic.

Biblical knowledge matters not a jot if this knowledge resides in a carnal mind.Maybe you dont like it. But the survey was done in the U.S. And it was about biblical knowledge. You may know better than others but that is not relevant to a survey.
Arguing that atheists are "foolish" with me is irrelevant. I am only stating facts.
No different from the effect that the LORD has had on you, it would seem!
"But the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh; and he did not heed them, just as the LORD had spoken to Moses."
Exodus 9:12
Ahem!!
Biblical knowledge matters not a jot if this knowledge resides in a carnal mind.
I do not believe the Holy Spirit lives inside of individuals.
Yes, l understand.Sorry mate. Thats not an argument to be made with me. I was only quoting a fact that a research was done. This particular argument of yours should be with the researchers.
Hope you understand.
Yes, l understand.
To some people, knowledge of the Bible may equate with knowledge of God, but this is just not true. The Bible itself warns against such people.
2 Timothy 3:1-7. 'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves....Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away....Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth'.

So some say. People say all kinds of things. The challenge comes from Jesus' words, faithfully recorded in prophecy.
To witness to oneself is false prophecy.
But that wouldn't be true. You could say you cant explain it
They do say all kinds of things; but at some point you have to make up your own mind as to what is truth. So some say. People say all kinds of things.
IOW you cant explain it. No prob.,But that wouldn't be true.
The meaning of the phrase 'scripture cannot be broken' is made clear by the consistency of scripture itself.
They do say all kinds of things; but at some point you have to make up your own mind as to what is truth.
Paul said, 'work out your own salvation with fear and trembling'. [Phil.2:12]
Is that the 'ridiculous' story of Paul being bitten by a poisonous snake and not suffering or dying [Acts 28]? So, what you actually mean is that you don't believe the 'ridiculous' words of Jesus, because Jesus promised that this would happen [Mark 16:18].Sure.
As for Paul, his ridiculous snake story
tells me whether to trust him.
Paul had got nothing to do with Jesus and or his teachings. Paul invented the Pauline-Christianity which had got nothing to do with Jesus and or his teachings.Sure.

Thats my understanding of it.Paul had got nothing to do with Jesus and or his teachings. Paul invented the Pauline-Christianity which had got nothing to do with Jesus and or his teachings.

The story, as told, is absurd. Or ridiculous, unbelievable, phony. Is that the 'ridiculous' story of Paul being bitten by a poisonous snake and not suffering or dying [Acts 28]? So, what you actually mean is that you don't believe the 'ridiculous' words of Jesus, because Jesus promised that this would happen [Mark 16:18].
Paul invented a queer creed of Pauline-Christianity that every human is sinful except innocent Jesus . I therefore, describe Paul as Sinful Paul, Sinful Matthew etc. Should Christian mind it?Thats my understanding of it.
This is not true.paarsurrey said: ↑

Adam, Jesus and Mary were innocents, I am all praise for them.

That is true. They must know in their soul but that does not mean that the Holy Spirit lives inside their body. Now, this scripture is directed at the whole Church, as the body of Christ, but it must be possible for an individual to know the workings of the Holy Spirit in their own soul.
