Burden of proof

God is actually Someone. If you are not ready or your choices would be intimidated by the experience, it will not happen. Further, you would be no more than confused by the experience if your understanding was lacking. This isn't a 15 minute journey. Do not discount the Intelligence involved. We are but mere ants.

I find it funny you ask what if. The hungry student seeking truth and knowledge is not concerned of what doesn't happen only what does. Perhaps, you are already headed in the wrong direction.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!
Really? Please present your evidence. And don't assume that others have not taken the journey. Many of us here have done so and found that no one was there. That we did not find God does not disprove him, but here you are claiming that he is real. That puts a burden of proof upon you.

You just some human making bald assertions. That's not knowledge. That's just the internet.

This is just the cheesy cliche dialogue of the wise guru character that we see in movies.

I place Truth in the world. What others do with Truth is entirely up to them. I make no demands.

Say we came across each other in the desert. You are almost out of water. You ask: Have you seen water? I reply: walk 5 miles east and there is an oasis with water. Because I pointed out the direction you can Discover water does not mean you have to choose to do anything. Maybe it comes down to what one seeks, how badly one seeks, and what one is willing to do to reach their goal.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

They're your claims, I don't believe any deity is involved, as there isn't a shred of objective evidence.

Or any objective evidence to support your claims.

All you've done is string unevidenced assertions together.

I'm not waiting for anything, you keep making claims, and offer no objective evidence to support them at all.

Don't be silly.

You've offered no knowledge or truth, just endless unevidenced claims.

This is a debate forum not a church revival tent, so no I'm not biasedly seeking anything, you make claims, so you have to demonstrate sufficient objective evidence to support them.

You seem genuinely unable to see how biased and subjective you're being?

I have not made any demands of you at all. Continue to believe God does not exist. Since you make no effort to Discover whether God exists or not, you want God not to exist. Great!!! I see you no difference between you and a theist believing a set of beliefs unwilling to see anything else.

Hmmm??? Are you sure your thinking has not been corrupted by religion in any way??? The narrow view is blind to see all the possibilities. One who does not seek isn't looking anywhere.

If you are happy within your box of comfortable beliefs, I'm happy for you. Each much choose their own path. I can not choose your path for you.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

Sorry, that claim will not fly without evidence. Otherwise I could claim the exact same thing about myself. And making such statements that you cannot support is a falsehood.

In this time-based causal universe God actions can be seen. When you understand these actions, you will come to understand God. Put enough of the pieces together and your view of things will change.

These will all still be no more than beliefs until the point that God decides to pay you a visit. This visit will be something you are unable to imagine. We do not have the capabilities. This is the point where God will no longer be a belief. You will know. You will have the proof you need.

There is much to learn and discover. God hides nothing. It stares us all in the face. I can point as I have done, however each must choose what they seek and what journey and path they choose. I can not do it for anyone. I can point and place truth in the world. That's it!!

So often people want things on their terms, however that doesn't always get one everywhere they are capable of traveling.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

Sorry, that is another fail. Come on, you claimed that you have the truth. It looks as if that was a false claim. And now you are blaming God for your failure. Not good at all.

If you are suggestive and biased it will always happen.

I'd have to see some, before I can discount it.

We are but mere ants.

Is that a typo? I mean ants - apes?

I find it funny you ask what if. The hungry student seeking truth and knowledge is not concerned of what doesn't happen only what does.
The objective student would simply look at the objective evidence.

Perhaps, you are already headed in the wrong direction.

Perhaps you have no concept of any direction that differs from your blinkered beliefs. I am being polite when I say perhaps.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

You see only one thing, though to be fair, I think your bias sees it as clearly as bias ever can.

Cool story, bro. Nothing to do with your god claims.

Here is a more accurate analogy:

You: Faerie dusts makes the pretty flowers bloom.
Me: Demonstrate that faerie dust exists.
You: I bring you TRUTH!
Me: Show me that you know that faerie dust exists.
You: You are too immature to fathom my deep faerie knowledge!
Me: Show me that you are capable of knowing what you are talking about.
You: Let me give you an analogy that compares water (something for which you already have evidence) to faerie dust (for which I have supplied none).
Me: I have no reason to believe that you are even capable of knowing the things that you claim exist.
You: Faerie dusts makes the pretty flowers bloom.
Me: Cool story, bro.

The only thing from preventing you from your evidence is you.

Isn't it an assumption that all claims you can't agree with are false. How much truth do you wall yourself away from because truth is not always agreeable??

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

Blame is one of the petty things mankind holds so dear. I do not blame anyone for anything. God is actually Someone. No one can guaranty the actions of another.

How is what I have done a failure? I do not see it. I have placed truth in the world and succeed at doing just that.

If it looks like a false claim to you, perhaps you should examine why you want it to be false. Your belief is in error. Widen your view. Expand your thinking. Perhaps there is something you are missing.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

Sorry but you did. You may not have realized how you blamed God. Most that make your error do not see it.

If I tell you the world is round, then tell you travel around the world and end up at the same place, you would say I am bias. Your beliefs are dead set the world is flat and unwilling to take the journey to Discover the Real Truth.

Yes, I know you think the world is round. On the other hand, 1000 years ago we might be doing the same thing we are doing now.

No, you only have mere belief. You do not have any evidence. Evidence should be able to cut both ways. If one has no evidence that can cut against one's beliefs then one is lacking in reliable evidence.

Here is a simple question:

What reasonable test could possibly show that you were wrong? If you can't answer that properly you have admitted to having only belief.

Which is it?

God hides nothing, however is it really in your best interest to confuse you or intimidate your choices? If at some point you reach enough understanding, a visit would be in your best interest. God is not hiding only waiting until you are ready.

From the answers you are giving me, clearly you have no clue about God or reality as it really is all about. On the other hand, there is no time limit on learning. You need more time.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!
