I am at once shipping a top of the line Japanese Nikon camera to replace you laptop camera. Of course, I'm shipping it by South American banana boat. Expect delivery 2015 earliest.

Actually, I think I can work with what you've given me, but it probably will take two or three tries. Unfortunately, you have somehow managed to look handsome in that photo. This will totally ruin its value as a rodent repellant. So sorry!

I've messed around with your photo a bit, and I think I could enthusiastically work from it, even though the resolution is not all that good. Might make for some peculiar results, though. If you're willing, I'd like you to email me another photo with a bit different pose. But only if you're willing.

The pose I'd like to see is one like Harriet's. Camera positioned from below. Head turned to the side. Shoulders facing camera. And then two variations on it: First, one where your eyes are looking off to your left. The other where your eyes are looking in the direction of the camera, but above the camera. On a level gaze, rather than looking down.

I'm demanding, aren't I? I used not to be, but then I decided to pretend I was an artist. All changed with that. I immediately became finicky and demanding.

The painting of Harriet is the second I've done from the same photo. I plan to do a third. I might show her that one -- there are somethings I learned painting the second one that I wish to incorporate into a third one.

I'm checking out your photo now. It's a very interesting pose, but I'm not certain the resolution and/or lighting are good enough for my remedial skill level. That is, I've worked with worse, but the paintings didn't come out that well. At any rate, I'm going to download it into a photo program and play around with it to see if I can't do something with it.

I emailed a crappy photo of the painting of Harriet to you hayamoto account. I also, a few hours later, posted the same crappy photo to my miscellaneous art album. The photo was actually the best of 37 photos I took. Really, 37 fricken' tries!

By the way, when are you gonna send me photos of yourself so I can pick one to paint from and thus pretend to be an artist?

I just finished a study of Harriet. I'm not calling it a finished painting -- just a study. But I'm going to inflict it on your anyways just to make your life miserable. So, if I remember, I'll take a photo of it and email it to you tomorrow.
