  • About that nude portrait of you.... You're mistaken. I actually did it. And all was going well until the police confiscated it for violating the last remaining obscenity law in America. Nevertheless, I thought they were over-reaching, so I took it to court. Who would have thought that painting would be the one and only work of art to be ruled "obscene" anywhere in America in the past 30 years? I was simply astounded.
This will astonish you, Badran, but I somehow managed to screw up a painting, and I am now left with nothing to do except wait for it to dry so that I can paint over it, thus un-screwing it. That's why I'm here, hanging over your shoulder, watching everything you do today. I wouldn't normally hang over your shoulder, but I have nothing better to do while waiting for my painting to dry. It could take three days for it to dry. I certainly hope you don't mind the company.

By the way, are you certain you want to post what you just posted? I don't want to be a back-seat driver while I'm waiting for my painting to dry but, that last post of yours, shouldn't you tone it down a bit?
I look forward to showing you my work when I'm done. The immense talent and skill that went into it will be evident even to you, and you shall therefore profoundly despair.
I'm working on more paintings than you're working on. I'm working on four paintings in various stages of completion. That's how ****** I am. Sorry if it breaks your heart.
Thank you so much. Sorry for the very late reply. I seem to go from very inactive to very active on this forum. Great to be back and good to see you. :D
Slurp! Slurp! Congratulations! The sound you just heard was me stealing your chocolate milk shake! Soooooo very sorry.
You know, I desperately tried to think of something creative to say in your "Happy Birthday" thread, but I couldn't think of anything more than a bland "Happy Birthday!" followed by a cliched smiley. So to try to compensate for that, I'll say that I'll most likely be in Egypt less than six months from now and hope to spend either my or your next birthday with you.

There. Hopefully this can make up for the debacle in the thread. :D
    Don't!

I know what really bothering you. Why don't you just go ahead and say it instead of pretending that your feelings aren't hurt?

OK. If you're just going to sit there and not respond, I'll say it. You're bothered because you think I forgot our anniversary. I know. It was July 02. I'll commemorate it here.

It was on July 02, 2012, that Badran (that's you) wrote the most wonderful, groveling plea for friendship to me. It was the most sincere and deserved plea for friendship ever to exist in the history of mankind.

Whenever I feel a bit down, all I have to do it read it!
Wow! I marvel at skill with which you just handle things. I notice it. You just do it. Completions -- one after the other.

I am looking up to you on that golden pedestal. If I appear to turn away, if you see tears streaming down my face, know this: it is only that the brilliance radiating from you at this moment is so dazzling -- my eyes cannot contain the splendor of it all!

(I know I used that dazzling bit with you before. I don't like to waste things, so I'm recycling. What are you complaining about? It was a compliment! Sheesh!)
Character is "manhood, courage, uniqueness, and intelligence"? Oh, I see how it is. After I spend a whole lifetime assiduously cultivating my inner, conformist, whimpering idiot, you come along to tell me all my efforts have been misdirected. As if you know anything.

A flying squirrel teasing a leopard? That would be quite a sight! It makes me wonder if mammals in nature all that often play with death?
Aye, if only real-life verbal arguments were somehow done in a similar fashion to an online forum, where I would have time to mount a decent come-back. <sigh>

    Anyways, cheers for the Frubie!
