  • My grandmother certainly is a blessing. I'm lucky to have such a brilliant, loving, and generous matriarch in the family.

But goodness, I think you're being awfully hard on yourself. Sometimes, being alone is precisely what we need. We can be alone without ever feeling lonely. So, I don't see a problem with it.
Been good. I'm preparing a business plan to hand to investors for loaning me money to start a business in a neighboring city. Right now, I'm suffering from brain drain. That and I think I was showing a bit of my frustration earlier this morning in some of my posts. LOL

It's always nice to see the grandparents. I only have one living grandparent alive - my 91-year-old grandmother who is as feisty as she is awesome. She lives independently and still works on her lawn, never takes any prescription drugs, and has the blood pressure of a 25-year-old. She's one of my biggest inspirations in life, and I tell her she's a rock star all the time. :)

Where do your grandparents live? Are they far away? Or have you not seen them lately because of a busy schedule?
Oh my gosh, you are not boring me. I'm hear to discuss this stuff, and man, it's never boring. :D
Oh yeah, I figured that. I did hear him say that Islam does not approve of killing a girl over this. I was reacting to the idea that some families might go ahead do something that horrible anyway. It's so crazy to me. Sadly, this violent behavior not restricted to only one culture. I've read about similar things in India, stuff that would make both our stomachs turn.
You're welcome. I just call them as I see them. And this is a better forum because you're here.
No problem. If you don't mind my saying so, you are great ambassador for your religion. I love reading your posts.
Yes it is hard dealing w/ people who practice Abrahamic religions/faiths. You are a good exception though :)

And thank you for the advice, I hope they will get over it in time, if I become a Sikh.
Ah, momentarily feeling rather bad for you and other outstanding Muslims here. RF goes through phases, I'm afraid, of who-gets-cornered-most-this-time. Sometimes it's Muslims. Sometimes it's homosexuals. Sometimes it's Mormons.

Personally, I'm doing fine. Got some things to get done with my business (dance studio), but otherwise just enjoying the nice weather we've had lately here in Illinois.
Hey, Badran. You Muslims need to explain why your holy book tells you to be silly, to beat women with a toothbrush, and to declare jihad on all American country music radio stations!! Now!! Explain it now!!!!!!!!1!!

Hahaaa....just kidding. How've you been, my dearest?
I posted the thread as you probably know.

Interesting meaning. I've never heard of that last name before. My last name is Hebrew, it more or less means I am from the Kohanim, who were the clerics/priests in ancient Judaism.
It's just that my parents have some issues w/ me being interested in Sikh Dharma. I went to the gurdwara (Sikh temple) last weekend, and now they say they won't take me back. I'll link you the thread I made about it perhaps.

Anyways, interesting last name. I assume it's Arabic; what does it mean? Actually my except the "X", my username is my last name as well :)
Yes it does. I am good as well for the most part :) Just some religious "issues".

BTW does your username have any meaning?
