  • How have you been? You know you're honestly one of the few Muslims on this forum I actually respect because you're always direct, and I know you have a real passion for the issues. Been awhile :)
    Good morning!

Irene and I are fine and enjoying our recent retirement by spending a great deal more time with family.

I'm not too sure why, but having more time has left me somewhat less interested in the forums - that and the fact that each time I stop by the conversations look a bit like tiresome reruns. Maybe I'm just getting old (or older).

On the other hand, next week we go to our first planning meeting for this year's Iftar in the Synagogue! See if you can keep Thursday, July 25th free. You're special, and I'd love having you there.

    Fondly ...

    ... L'Shalom / Salaam,

    Jay
Thanks for the frubal, and you most definitely are not. You're a great counter-balance for the traits I listed. :)
That was a great post you put up in that thread on homosexuality challenging the guy who thought he knew all about it. I wanted to say something along the same lines, but the thread was in a DIR, of course.
Then the city should pay him not to leave town. :p

Looks like my family lucked out: a little drip of water downstairs at my Dad's house, but otherwise no problems. And my brother had that day off. :p
Wow Shireen! I had no idea all that was going on in Chicago. Thanks for the heads up.

Guess I should call the fam and see if they made it to high ground. :p My brother is a Chicago firefighter so he's one of the people who'll have to deal with the nastier aspects of this situation.

Hope the 30th gets her quickly, Shireen, and we all miss you too. :)
    Salam, Shireen :)
Alhamdulillah, fine. Thanks for asking :) I felt like I missed RF so thought to visit the forum and reviewed an old thread about Islam. And God I kept wondering why my attitude was so clashing with others!! :D I don't know exactly...could the person in a middle of heated debates, act like this? Oh, I feel I was a little immature...hehehe :)

    Anyway, how are you doing?
