I'm terribly sorry! I got running around this morning and neglected to post your weird song this morning before I took off for my doings today. Here it is now:

A bit of explanation: the song itself isn't that weird (well, some of the lyrics are a bit strange looking back on them now, but on the whole..), but this recording has some weird history: it was part of a series of recordings done by Glenn Miller's Army Air Corps band as propaganda tools. The idea was that they would broadcast them at the German troops to convince them that the Allied soldiers were all having a wonderful time while the Germans were miserable. This song makes fun of Hitler a bit.

I got it at the dollar store. It's for the tournament today - they suggest that the referees get something to make ourselves look a bit silly so that the kids are less likely to feel intimidated to talk to us.

Only for January, though. Only for January.
