    When did/do you get saved?

Muffled, To you faith = putting trust in belief? I thought faith = putting trust in God. Are you saying that the authorities in John 12 were saved? At least you realize that baptism was a commandment of Jesus. Now, see John 14:15 and Heb 5:9

Are too many churches caught up in being a donimination and not about following God's message?

gzusfrk - It would seem to me that, some churches of christ follow the bible, as it is about all we have for direction, we believe the word became flesh, their pretty much one then, so anyone, anywhere following the bible, will become his church and be saved I would agree.....however, division...

Are too many churches caught up in being a donimination and not about following God's message?

I take the opposite view as most of the posts here. I am a Christian, a member of the Church of Christ. Isaiah 55 : 8-9 shows us that despite what some of us feel/think, our thoughts/ways are not equal with the Lord's. Eph 4: 4-6 teaches us that there is one body and one faith Eph 1...

    When did/do you get saved?

As for Acts 10 - It is clear that God is working in a specific (almost unique) way for a specific purpose. He used the miraculous outpouring of the HS to show them that the Gentiles were heirs also of the grace of God. Rom 10:10 - I agree that belief and confession are necessary actions...

    When did/do you get saved?

Acts 22:16 ...Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name. "Calling on his name" as shown here FROM THE BIBLE clearly is defined as being baptized for the remission of sins. Therefore, prayer does not in the biblical sense mean "calling on his name". The only...

    Salvation Challenge

This is a post for Christians, but comments from all are appreciated... Here's the setting of the passage of scripture in question..... Jesus has died, been buried, and raised from the dead. He then appears to His disciples for around forty days. While with them he tells His apostles to expect...
