Who is your favorite Egyptian God?

Ooh, tough one... Well, if only given the choices on the poll, I'd say Yinepu (Anubis). Specifically Wepwawet, which is technically a separate deity, but often synchrenized with Yinepu. Wepwawet, Opener of Ways Wepwawet is depicted as a light-skinned jackal (some say a gray or white wolf...

Who is your favorite Egyptian Goddess?

Oh, and one thing that always makes me wince a bit - it's Bast, not Bastet. The extra "t" (transliterated as "-et"; the hieroglyph is usually called the "bread loaf") was added during the New Kingdom to emphasize that it should be pronounced "Bast", not "Bas", because in spoken words, the -t at...

Who is your favorite Egyptian Goddess?

I think Hethert (Hathor) would be my favorite, if I had to pick. (ChrisP already posted a picture.) Eye of Ra, Beautiful in All Her Names, Divine Mother, Lady of Drunkenness and Heaven and the Limit of the Universe, Mistress of All, Mistress of Fertility and Intoxication and Joy and Judgments...

Pagans, have some questions for you =)

Here's a bunch: If you're interested in Celtic paganism, I'd recommend checking out paganachd.com/faq/readinglist.html - it's got quite a good list. Anything by the Farrars is usually a safe bet for general pagan/Wiccan information. "A Witches' Bible", "Spells and How They Work", etc...

Pagans, have some questions for you =)

That's a rather amazing book; it's the best "Pagan 101" book I know of. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't know much about paganism or who's never really been exposed to it and wants to learn more.

What are my neighbors most likely if they wear all black??

The vampires I know look and act like normal people. No particular tendencies towards black. (Except for some of the House Kheperu crowd... but then, they tend to be part of the goth subculture, so it's more a result of that than the vampiric identity.) Or are you talking about vampire...

Pagans: If the God and Goddess Are Equal...

It depends on what sect of paganism you're talking about, I think. The Wiccan and Wicca-derived paths of paganism tend to concentrate more on the Goddess than the God, agreed. But it's not that way in the non-Wicca-esque traditions. For instance, the Heathens/Norse pay a lot of homage to...

Pagans, have some questions for you =)

I'd been drifting from Christianity for quite a while; by the time I got to college, "Christian" was more of a tag because I didn't know anything else and was trying to be Christian for my family (my dad's a Southern Baptist minister). During my freshman year at college, a friend invited me to...

    Em hotep!

Okay, let's try this again, since last time the forum decided to eat my post... I'm Dani, or Makhsihed, or Makhsi, whichever you prefer. 21 years old, an undergraduate senior in college, vaguely female, a psychology major, and a Kemetic. Darkhawk's Kemetic FAQ (ecauldron.com/reconegyptfaq.php)...
