    A letter to the Atheists

Maybe I'm misunderstanding here... Do you or do you not believe that because we can't describe everything with science right now, there must be a God who initiated the universe and presumably was involved in some way with it's design? You sure like .... don't you? :p

The truth can set you free...

Hey Preach, loved your OP, welcome to the forums. It's good to have some sanity here sometimes. :p

    A letter to the Atheists

Are you serious? Do you actually believe that because science cannot explain everything right now, there must by default be a fairy in the sky who created everything? Science has changed a lot over the years. Things that are thought unanswerable are gradually worked out, who is to say that...

Is Beastiality (Zoophilia) morally wrong or right?

I think it is morally acceptable, although I don't think I would ever be interested in trying. I simply believe that animals are capable of displaying affection and a desire to have sexual intercourse (I think you would be very hard pressed to find evidence against this). Animals snuggle and...

Is Beastiality (Zoophilia) morally wrong or right?

I feel I have to lie about my relationship with a man. I just don't think my family would respond very well to it and it's better they don't know. My behaviour is not immoral. I guess we just consider things in different ways, that's cool. :)

Is Beastiality (Zoophilia) morally wrong or right?

I have had this experience also. Dogs are such love bugs. :):):) Ever read "In the Shadow of Man" by Jane Goodall? Remember Clint, son of Flo? He loved her so much, shadowed here wherever she went. When she grew old and died, he couldn't live without her...

Is Beastiality (Zoophilia) morally wrong or right?

All you have said is that lying is immoral. You gave no real reason for sex with animals being immoral other than "I am smarter". Well if you did I it evaded me. :p I'm confused, you don't actually believe that it's immoral to have sex with animals? Or do you? :s

Is Beastiality (Zoophilia) morally wrong or right?

Well, I guess it comes down to this idea of consent. Some people say that non-humans animal can consent to sex and some say they can't. How do you feel about it if the animal initiates the contact? Is it still morally wrong? If so, why? I have experienced a very close relationship with an animal...

Is Beastiality (Zoophilia) morally wrong or right?

Ever heard of Bonobos? Bonobos, as well as using sex as a social tool, are often observed sneaking off with each other for a quicky behind the bushes. They have oral sex, group sex, mutual masturbation, guy on guy action.... these guys know their stuff! Frans de Waal actually mentions a time...

    A letter to the Atheists

I am sure of the flying spaghetti monster's existence, from both my faith and from physical and logical proofs.... I am asking you to prove his non-existence, just play your role. I am not mocking you here, I just find it ridiculous that people think they can claim the existence of an...

    Anybody a Scientist?

Wow, thanks a lot for the advice. I believe I may end up studying Biology instead of Zoology after all. I'm glad you believe there is at least some hope of getting somewhere if you have the passion and drive, which I most certainly do. :) Biology Rocks!

    Anybody a Scientist?

Thanks for the idea. I think what I will do is just see what happens. After my ph.d a research post may be available at the university, they have quite a few and most are pretty well paid (around £20,000 p.a) for youngsters. :p Is Halcyon a professional scientist? He sure sounds like he...

What's your country's version of "British"? (Special note for RevOxley)

Me and my family are salopians, we are from Shropshire and have the legendary "farmer joe" accent. Listen to a radio 4 show called "The Archers" and you will die laughing, we rock! My favourite british accent and the kind I think a lot of people imagine us all having is that of Richard...

    Anybody a Scientist?

I might just stay at Durham university and become a fellow eventually. :p I would love to become a lecturer at a university, I'll just have to see how it goes I guess. There goes my plan to change the world. :p

    Anybody a Scientist?

Well I should mention that I plan to do a ph.d before going job hunting. Ideally I would like to be involved in field research or maybe conservation. I'm not bothered about having a huge salary, I just want to be able to support myself. I think it's appauling that scientists can't get jobs. :(

    Anybody a Scientist?

I am going to study a science at university, probably Biology or Zoology. I was just wondering what the job market is like for Biology graduates. Is it better to go into a non-scientific area or work in research? I've heard that jobs for scientists are few and far between and we get paid peanuts...

    Bacteria and Mitochondria

Aren't all our other organelles from our mother too? That's what I thought, as a sperm is just too small to house things like ER and Golge etc. Is a sperms tail anything like a flagellum by the way? I have been wondering.
