Okay, I see your argument. Now, I'm not trying to actually debate whether or not there was a flood because you clearly believe there was and I happen to disagree. Debating point after point won't sway either of us on this topic. So, I'm more or less trying to understand why you believe what you...
Okay, I will concede that those percentages might not be entirely accurate when speaking in terms of a few thousand years ago. Although I will not agree that the possible discrepancy would be enough to cause a flood. However, matter cannot simply appear and disappear, so if water came from...
None of my "claims" require faith, first off. I do not believe in anything because of absence of evidence - which is what faith is.
Can you prove that the supernatural does or does not exist? Not by scientific standards in either direction. Therefore, my stance is that I do not believe that...
Actually, that's exactly what you said.
Where did I say that any of it was "okay?" I was merely pointing out the fact that sex is a part of life for all animals. Don't try and twist that into some self-righteous talk on murder/rape/defecating. (Although, we all poop, too don't we?)
I would never say that something does not exist because that is a ridiculous standpoint. I do not believe it exists because there is clear evidence to the contrary. However, because I cannot test something supernatural (yet), then it is unreasonable for me to believe that it does exist. That...
No. We can only prove the existence of a natural/physical world. That is entirely different from saying it is the only thing that exists. Sheesh, are you not exhausted with running around in circles yet?
It is not dishonest wordplay... I am merely pointing out the fact that you cannot say one thing is immoral to do and then make exceptions based on your personal experience without including everyone's personal experiences.
I don't deny that the supernatural may exist - I simply do not believe that it does because it is not testable according to scientific standards. That's all.
The point here is that what you previously deemed immoral (aka an abortion) is now exempt because you said so. Either it is immoral to have an abortion or it isn't. IF you have an abortion, even if your god told you to, it would still be immoral by your initial standards.
We're animals, animals have sex, get over it!
You still didn't respond to most of my comments, which doesn't surprise me, but the one actual question I would like an answer to is:
If your god told you to have an abortion, would you?
