The universe surely contains a finite set of physical ‘happenings’, so given enough time, science will pluck away at the set one by one, until the set is fully understood? So your imaginings may become a reality!
Scientific knowledge will increase as long as life exists.
The universe may just be our current house.
Scientific knowledge may enable the next house to be constructed.
And so life continues, and science goes on!
Should one have hope in just God,
Or is it wise to take the worst case scenario and put all hope in Science?
I think it’s probably wise to have hope in both God and Science, but I don’t know how this would go down with the religious community. I think they want your undivided attention!
Given enough time, will the study of scientific knowledge lead all of humanity to an eternal afterlife, or is an eternal afterlife the exclusive domain of God?
Do you think we’ll ever reach the end of scientific knowledge, before all life in the universe dies?
And where will this knowledge get us......will all life in the universe eventually die anyway?
Or is it too early to tell?
And do you think many present day scientists have thought about the end...
I would say a third reasonable position is the universe came to be through highly advanced science, perhaps by human scientists in the far future.
This third position would therefore be a natural cause since scientists are part of nature.
When Jesus said “Forgive them for they know not what they do”, I’ve always thought he meant “Forgive everybody for their sins”. I don’t think he was just referring to the Roman Soldiers, the Roman rulers, or the Jewish leaders or whoever, he was asking God to forgive all of humanity, for all...

By 20 I was feeling it’s tusk.
As the years flew by, I went from the tusk to the leg, to the ears.
I became no wiser and wondered if the elephant is really there.
People have a lot to say about the elephant.
