    I am the great belief

I am, And I believe. How great the meaning to my life, I believe I believe. To talk of the meaning, To talk till I’m sleeping, I believe I believe I believe. I care in the morning, I’m happy midday, By eve nobody will take it away, I believe I believe I believe I believe!! Cockadoodledoo

    Natural evil

In a 'spiritual universe' a tsunami, a poisonous spider, an earthquake, a famine, can be regarded as an 'evil', just like a bunny rabbit, a fine summers day, an ice cream can be regarded as a 'good'.

    A simulation from nothing?

Imagine a computer scientist in 1000 years, who has access to the latest supercomputer. So he decides to program a simulation of the universe, as everything concerning the universe (all equations) are known. The experiment is a success: the simulation evolves stars, planets, and life. Assuming...

    Natural evil

If I pushed a button causing a volcano to erupt, which smothered a city killing all the inhabitants, would you regard me as evil?

    Natural evil

It's as if the creator is trying to convince us that he doesn't exist!!!

    Natural evil

Are you saying the tsunami in the Far East, a day after Christmas a good few years back, happened because of man?

    Natural evil

Which creator is responsible for natural evil, God or Devil?

    Natural evil

Because he wanted people to follow him after he was gone.

    Natural evil

Natural evil : e.g. Tsunamis, poisoness spiders, earthquakes, famines, etc. Surely this disproves the existence of a benevolent creator?

    A simulation from nothing?

Let's assume for a moment that there's an intelligent designer. Does that intelligent designer have to be external to the design? Why can't the designer be within the design, i.e. Human? Another way of looking at it is....could God design something external to himself (like a reality to live...

    A simulation from nothing?

But how do you know for certain that this reality that we find ourselves in is not a simulation. It just needs to be detailed enough to fool the human senses!

    A simulation from nothing?

Suppose a star consists of 50 trillion atoms, and you want to simulate it on your supercomputer. Perhaps there is no need to simulate each and every atom....just an approximation which is detailed enough to fool the Hubble space telescope. Same with planets and moons, comets and asteroids, etc...

    A simulation from nothing?

Apparently the double slit experiment and quantum entanglement may suggest this reality is a simulation, as the results seem to violate materialism. But if this 'simulation' is anything like the original reality, I would like to know could the original programmers not 'program' their own...

    A simulation from nothing?

Could the scientists not design into the universe, time, so that it can be travelled both forwards and backwards? I'm assuming everything about the universe is designed, just like in their simulations.

    A simulation from nothing?

I suppose what I'm saying is....... Could the universe be designed by scientists within the universe? There would have to be a kind of feedback loop created....time travel. Then the cosmological constants could be twiddled with, And set just right for life, Resulting in the creation of the...

    A simulation from nothing?

I spent the weekend watching YouTube videos on the simulation hypothesis/argument where various scientists (computer/physics) talked about how the universe could be a simulation which is run in the original reality. If there are 2000 simulations and 1 original reality, then there is a 2000 to 1...

    A Universe from Nothing?

Matter is positive energy, Gravity is negative energy. Sum of matter and gravity is zero energy. The sum total is Nothingness. The 'parts' are Something.
