Good point, and something I've been thinking about a lot lately...
If the effects of these multiverses on our current state of being don't amount to much, then what does it really matter? In that same vein, however, I guess it would be possible to assume that the homeostatic relationship of...
I think this is true in a broader and more general sense as well.
Americans complain about outcomes and systems, but we don't actively participate in the decision making process, or in the fixing of those systems, because it requires actual work and dedication.
From the Federal level, down the...
The mathematics that determine child support requirements are really very reasonable. They divide combined income by the amount of physical time each parent gets. You just divy up the cost of child rearing between the two parties, and makes them both responsible for said cost based on the amount...
It's a valid concern - but there are no protections which exist that I know of.
Adults are allowed to be irresponsible with their finances, unfortunately.
Children are entitled to whatever lifestyle their parent's combined income can afford to provide. The man makes a lot of money, and the percentage of that which goes towards rearing a child seems to be reflected in his child support costs. It's really not a big deal, just because it's a big number.
There's a whole lot to unpack in this conversation.
1.)I think all of these conversations hinge on a disagreement on the underlying principle of how, and what, makes someone a citizen.
2.) Almost all illegal immigrants pay taxes. The vast majority pay State and local taxes by necessity of how...
No. I assume that this thread was made for anyone and everyone, as it's listed in the General Religious Debates section of the forum. If you would prefer to only engage with like-minded individuals, there are DIRs for that.
My point was that most people of faith assume that their messaging...
Don't get me wrong. The current state of churches and non-profits is so bad nationally that I believe they should pay the same rates as any other organization, because that's really all they are at this point. Charitable spending is less than 6% nationally. That's pocketing 94% of donations and...
If you guys ever want to know why your rhetoric doesn't reach some people, let me show you something.
"...Excuse me, I'm very euphoric because the invisible imaginary sky man loves me. If anyone finds it hard to talk to themselves, then it may be a magic mind monster putting a trap around your...
I wouldn't even mind the continuation of full tax exemption, were religious organizations actually good at reinvesting those savings into their communities, like they were supposed to... The whole premise of tax exemption for religious organizations and non-profits hinges on their charity and...
Like an electrical diagram, changing wiring and connections that you're not 100% familiar with can lead to unforeseen consequences. While most of the machine may still work, you still never know exactly what you've changed, or what mostly unused systems will become active/deactivated by fooling...
