I drink a lot of coffee, long black with 1 sugar when I'm at work, or latte/cappuccino/mocha when I'm out and about.
At home I usually drink water or Milo. Milo. Milo. Does that count as a beverage? With oat milk most of the time.
I would like to hear from Christians about how they would describe their concepts of
Salvation through God's grace alone
Belief in Hell
Forgiveness of sins?
In particular, I'm interested to know what "Grace" is, what "Hell" is, and what "Sin" is, for Christians.
Many thanks :)
I know you didn't talk about Jesus being God. I was merely pointing out one of the aspects where Christianity and Sikhi differ quite significantly.
The Shabad is the Guru. Human Guru Sahib Jios were but mouths for the Shabad - Mahala. I don't say that with any disrespect, of course Guru...
Fascinating! I've heard a few people highlight the similarities between Judaism and Sikhi, but never Christianity and Sikhi. To me, they are fundamentally different. Sikhi has a little bit more in common with Catholicism than Protestantism, but still, Jesus being God on Earth is contrary to...
Sat Sri Akaal Ji
So, in summary, you're highlighting the similarities perceived between the two?
Salvation through God's grace alone
Belief in Hell
Forgiveness of sins?

I am the queen of late replies, so it's ok, jio.
I was of the understanding Sikhi is panentheistic, rather than monotheistic. Gurbani describes the Ik Onkar as something less personalised than a monotheistic God-character (that is, a God entity with a personality who speaks in the first...
I consider myself a convert to Sikhi, although one doesn't really "convert" to Sikhi as grow into it.
I've disavowed it more times than I care to mention (including publicly on RF one time...), and considered myself atheist or actively seeking for some of the time, but never converted to...
I didn't know there was sin in Sikhi. Whilst some translate "paap" or "paapi" as sin/sinner, the strict definition of sin is "an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law." Sikhi doesn't really have such divine laws to be transgressed, at least, not that I've seen.
faith
feɪθ/
noun
complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
strong belief in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction rather than proof.
I was going with definition #1. Without faith, doesn't religion just become mechanical?
You're right in that #2 = belief.
So there was a post on Facebook today about the sale of an Australian dairy to a Chinese investor. A snippet of the post:
"Another sale of a national asset to an overseas investor despite a viable local bid! The only two things I see this 'government' doing are selling of our national assets...
