1) Sexual attraction isn't just about "personal mood".
2) Not everyone is clearly divided into Male or Female either biologically or behaviorally.

Except that me and my spouse show that you are mistaken.
Not to mention all the other happy couples out there with Transpartners.
That isn't a result of sex... but of the brutal and often violent repression people suffer. Usually in the name of your "Christian" God.
Bullying is the problem...
You have some kind of farytale view of our recent history... did you grow up watching a lot of 50's TV?
What the heck does your little rant against the evils of the "sexual revolution" have to do with people being Transgendered?

Lots of things used to be considered mental illnesses until we learned better.
Somehow I doubt that the a group representing less than 10% of the population somehow bullied the other 90%. :sarcastic

Actually that's not strictly true... part of the justification for keeping it in the DSM is that it provides a means to get insurance companies to medical coverage for transition.
Given the fuss it caused, I'm sure that lots of people thought it could happen. Some people think Jurassic Park is possible.
Which is why I was disappointed rather than surprised.

Well, we've been together for almost 16 years... so maybe your recipe is off. :sarcastic

edited to add: the fact that you think someone "just decides" to transition "one day" shows that you have a lot to learn about transgendered people and their experiences.
I graduated in 2010 and it took until this year for me to get part time work.
I also fell into the "overqualified" for non-degree jobs and "underqualified" for jobs in my field (biology). I will be going on to get my masters and ultimately hopefully my PhD.
If you look you can find...
My spouse is a transwoman.
She has never been happier in her life than she is now. :D
We were very lucky with her transition... she had no serious problems with work, family or friends.
I also know several transpeople who have had the opposite experience, which is heartbreaking.

I think the real problem is the widespread use of farming practices that waste soil and contaminate water supplies... (even organic farming can do both of these). This is aggravated by poor education in many places and in systemic neglect in others.
Ok.. the real real problem is our population...
